The customer service provided by Griffith oil is lip service only Our experience has included multiple visits (more than I can count) to repair our brand new efficiency furnace that has been anything but efficient Each time the techs were very friendly and polite while they accomplished nothing in regard to fixing the problem The result has been an excessive oil bill ($for the "efficiency" furnace), and no response to multiple attempts to discuss compensation for a brand new furnace that would not shut off, even heating our home to an excess of degrees when the thermostat was shut off The warranty requires I purchase Griffith oil, and they didnt fix the furnace to stop burning oil when the thermostat was stuck open Great business model I would not recommend this company to anyone I will very much enjoy leaving this company when my lease is up as I am active duty and will be receiving orders to leave soon (hopefully!) Run away from Griffith is my advice

I used to swear by mentzer, but not any moreSince the company has changed in the past few years it has gone sour It used to be mentzer brospetroleum, with a super nice and helpful staff It then became just mentzer petroleum At this point it was still always the same secretary when you went in which was nice, but they were delivering to the house more frequently and sending out account notices before the bill was late Then the big change *** bought them, and now I can't chase them away from my oil drum They try to deliver and top off my full tank in the summer arguing that I need it for my hot water I don't, in fact I turn of the furnace breaker as soon as it gets just a little warm outsideI made it clear I only wanted to purchase gallons at a time and I would let them know when I wanted itExample I would stop by on a Monday, pay my balance, and request a delivery for gallons for sometime that week It was fine at first and this system was working It was short lived They delivered gallons on 2/09/upon request, then randomly decided to deliver ANOTHER gallons on 2/11/ When I called to get it cleared up all I got was attitude from them and told that its probably going to be topped off again and I had to stay on automatic delivery (which I had not been) until the owner of this house decides to change it When I said something needs to be done to fix this I was told "Its going to be cold, you'll use it" I don't run my furnace much and would rather put on a sweater Instead, I have to pay both oil bills, and I'm stuck with all this extra oil, that's not in my budget Anything to nickel and dime someone Well, its my money, and my choice; I choose another company

Griffith has serviced my home since it was purchased by my parents in 1947. They have been wonderful to work with and have never let me down until this year. The regular service tech retired and his replacement asked to see my oil tank. He quickly declared it was leaking. Replacing it was a structural challenge since it is located under my front porch. The solution was to install a new gas furnace with an estimated cost of over $6,000. There is not one drop of oil under the old tank or any signs of rust. I mentioned this to an independent HVAC contractor and he said "Griffith" before I did. It seems I am not the first person who has been encouraged to replace something that is not is not "broken." I will continue to use Griffith and get second opinions when suspicious. Good people work for Griffith but the new owners should curb their greed and build trust,

Griffith is a total rip off! I did the budget billing, which they told me you always get a refund at the end of the year. I've been when Griffith for under two years and have paid almost $4000.00 in oil! Griffith would fill my tank when oil was the highest and barely gave me any oil when it was low. This is a terrible company. It's really a shame because I would have been a loyal customer. This company are scam artists and crooks. I am terminating my business with Griffith Oil Company and I will warm every family with oil not to use this company.

I just bought a house that needs oil for heating. I inherits the Griffith Energy Services from the previously owner. My oil tune up was schedule on 1/14/2016. On 1/13/2016 evening I received the phone from Griffith, and was told my appointment needs to be cancelled due to some other high priority emerengency and will call me back for reschedule. The company never called me back for the reschedule. Today when I call back, I was told the next available appointment is in April. I just couldn't believe that my cancelld appointment on 1/14/2016 was rescheduled in 3 months later. When I called the company a couple months ago, they told me it is very critical to schedule an oil tuner up to make the system efficient. Now they are not going to schedule the tune up when the heating system is going to shut down. Very bad company. They just want to rip their customer off. They said whatever they can make the money not baced on their professional opponion. When I said I want to talk to the supervisor, I was transferred to the voice mail. Very bad costumer service.

vehicle is not safe because the tire pressure does not read. This was addressed and told it was going to be taken care of. It never was. I told the dealership how much it was going to be months ago, I was quoted by [redacted].  I never followed the car to the dealership, so that is a lie. Also I never complained about a "firm" ride, the strut mounts were broken when I purchased the car. I'm not trying to get those fixed I want the tire pressure sensors taken care of like we agreed upon.
Sincerely,

The customer's car has no remaining issues.  We have met with them multiple times to try and resolve.  I met with all 3 of my representatives today who have been involved with this transaction. Not one of them claims to have even mentioned a return policy of any kind, never mind 30...

days.  We do have a 30 day, 3000 mile warrantee that the car will be safe for the road per ** law, but that is all.  All paperwork reflects this.
Thank you for your time Sincerely,[redacted]?

Review: I bought at 2008 [redacted] from Scranton Motors in September 2014. There was a warranty on the car for anything to get fixed within 3,000 miles or 90 days . There was an issue with the tire pressure sensors. I brought it back to the dealership while I was still under warranty like they instructed. [redacted] the Service Manager told me when I was there "they could not fix it and I should bring it to a [redacted] dealership and they would cover the cost of it because they could not perform the work at their shop." When confirming the appointment with Scranton Motors because [redacted] would not release the car until they got the payment for service Scranton Motors then proceeded to tell me that they "Never said that, and their Service Manager [redacted] does not have the power to authorize such a thing." I sent 3 emails and had several calls into the Manager [redacted] and no response. I finally was emailed back two weeks ago by a "new member" handling my car purchase. I proceeded to tell him about what happened and they said that they will not cover the cost to fix my car because now months later it IS over the warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like this to be fixed. Also I do not want to deal with this dealership because of such terrible treament any longe,r so I would like for them to pay for me to have it done at the [redacted] dealership like originally agreed upon.

Review: my father and I purchased a used 2012 [redacted]. During purchase it was told to us 30 day to return if unhappy. We had the car for 2 days and it had issues and we brought it back for service. 2 days later we were told there was no issue. The next day we brought it back for the same issue. The next day was we picked it up and was assured the issue was fixed. Over that weekend the issues happened again. That Monday we said we were bringing it back and no longer wanted the vehicle. They said the vehicle had now depreciated over 3000.00. IN 1 WEEK! it's a used car. And they said if we are not happy bring it back. we asked if we can get into something else and they said yes but wanted to rollover over 6000.00 onto the new car. I paid 21,000.00 for the terrain they offered to buy it back for 18,00.00 that's So unfair. That sold me a broken car.Desired Settlement: It's only fair to receive a refund of the purchase price especially if we're still buying from Them. I had the car 1 week and 4 of those 7 days it was in there service department.

My father and I had this car for 2 days and it had problems. We were in happy then and wanted to return the vehicle at that time. Scranton motors assured us it will be fixed and still after 4 visits it is not. More and more problems are surfacing with this vehicle every day. Noise from the engine that they claime is normal, the climate control system randomly picks temperatures. And the phone option cuts out and the Bluetooth connect half the time. Why wouldn't a " reputable dealership " not want to return a lemon they cold to a customer. This is not acceptable for a 20,000.00 purchase. We were told of we are unhappy to bring it back. Now that buyers remorse has passed its not a different story. We have filed complaints with the [redacted] office along with the [redacted] department of motor vehicles. They sold us a LEMON and do not want to make right on it. I personally along with many public opinions feel Scranton motors does not value customers, there safety or the vehicles they sell. They only care about making sales and after that they make excuses. Plain and simple there is LAW and there is the right thing to do. They chose to stick us with a broken unreliable vehicle and they don't care to make right on it. So in closing. I do not accept "[redacted] " reply to this issue nor do I believe for one minute he or the Scranton company care what happens in the future as long as they make sales. Moving forward we will now be going to the media over this issue and letting out local news and community decide if Scranton motors is in the wrong.
