I spoke to the customer on the phone about this concern, perhaps after this was filed? We agreed that the price she offered to pay for the car is the total cost she paidFor disclosure we worked the figures like this. She did not pay more than her offer on the car, even with this coverageIn
essence, the coverage was given at no extra cost*** ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I am rejecting this response because: The Gerry Woods Dealership is lying again! We inspected the new car before we paid and notified the salesman that the mud guards were missing. He told us not to worry that the service department was closed and that they would contact us to set up an appointment to get them installed. He even pulled out the window sticker and showed us the mudguards on the window sticker. The email response I received later is shown below:Good Morning Scott,I figured you would be at work this morning, but I did want to follow up on the mud-guard issue. I had to get some information from my General Manager about this and he has informed me that even-though the mud guards were listed on the sticker pricing the price you had paid was a $3,000 loss on our part. In this particular situation the the mud-guards were not paid for in the final purchase price because of the loss sustained. I understand if you have some more questions on this issue and you are more than happy to speak with Alan [redacted] (my GM) to answer any questions you may have. The number to reach him is [redacted] extension 403. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused and I appreciate you and your wife doing business with us. Thanks so much for your time and have a blessed day.Cole [redacted]414 Jake Alexander Blvd.South Salisbury, NC 28147[redacted] Sales AssociateStore- [redacted]Cell- [redacted]

Clearly this is a communication issue. The customer offered us a price on the car. We accepted it. But, as we had already put the protection package on the car and couldn't take it off, we lowered the figure she offered by $499.00 and then added the protection price back, therefore getting back to her original offer. We did this 1) for clear disclosure. 2) because as we had installed the appearance protection we wanted to make sure she got the coverage.Of course she has the contract that shows this, we did it all above board. Now, if she wants to pay us the original offer she made, which is $499.00 more than the sale price shown on her contract, we'll be happy to accept that and cancel her coverage. Makes absolutely no sense at all to do this, but it sounds like she is more interested in establishing a principle than what makes sense. in hind sight we'd have taken the offer she made and not given her the coverage. The result would have been that she would have paid the same amount in the end, but I wouldn't have to deal with this![redacted]

I I [redacted] do not accept Gerrywood for telling a bunch of lies stating that  the Chevy Impala was 1000.00 down when I stated to [redacted], I only had 500.00 and he told me they had a deal going on where he could show me the cars I qualified for. so he stated let's go to my desk he showed me 5 cars I qualified for but I wanted the Chevy Impala. I ask [redacted] before he started the application process would I be approved with only 500.00 he stated yes, so I went with process. It took so long for them to say I was approved, it took 8 hours for them to say I was approved. The loan company  had to call me to make sure the application was correct because they had my information screwed up. Then when they stated that I was approved they called  my insurance company to add the car to my policy and wrote me a invalid 30 tag I was riding around for 2 weeks with a invalid 30 tag. [redacted] and [redacted] was so harassing they came by my residents they called my cell phone when they knew I was at work I lost my Job due to the stress this company put me through. [redacted] the use car manager was very rude over the phone I kept asking him several times can I have my down payment he told me no. They made me and my co buyer sign a contract and title for DMV and didn't give us copies before driving the car off the car lot. I spoke to a attorney that represent Gerrywood he stated that was a final deal.  When stated that I was contacting the Revdex.com he told me to call to cancel the complaint. Because knew they doing crooked things. They checked my co signer crimmal record and didn't have his consent to do so. My co signers co worker  recently went  to Gerrywood to fiance a car they took his money and said that his paper work got screwd up they would not  give him the car  and took his money and said he was  approved the same thing I went through with company. This company needs to be exposed they ripping people off taking there money and doing crooked things. I feel Gerrywood need to state the Truth and stop trying to cover there self up.

Very unprofessional [redacted] ! I'm glad this is how you treat your customers. Don't worry you won't have to (and I quote) "Deal with this" anymore I will take my business elsewhere.
Regards,
[redacted]

We made a deal with this customer on the Impala and she needed a $1,000 down and only had $500. [redacted] was
able to get the deal done with just the $500. She was joint on the loan with her boyfriend. Boyfriend stated he had license
and would bring them back so we can get a copy. We found out License...

wasn’t good, then he stated he had driving privileges
and that he could provide the information. Customer couldn’t provide that either. We told the customer due to not providing the information, we couldn’t get the bank to approve the deal. Then the issue came into play because the customer would never bring the car back. Dodging phone calls, we went by the house, left messages, ex, ex. [redacted] got involved and spoke with her a couple times as well and customer set up multiple appts to bring the vehicle back, but didn’t. Customer even came up here with her Uncle who wanting to get involved because she painted the picture like we were getting over on her. [redacted] and I pull them in his office and we explained the situation to him and even he understood and asked her (in front of us) why didn’t you bring the car. She didn’t have an answer.(Customer had the car 2-3 weeks putting more miles on it) Uncle said, guys I understand now that its explained to me, have a nice day. Customer says she would bring the car that night again and didn’t. So [redacted] got the repo guy involved then we finally got the car. [redacted] explained that due to time frame and paying the repo guy that she would not get back the full $500. He told her if she brings the keys he’d give her $200 back and she did so we gave her the $200.

Part of agreeing to even give her a chance to bring the keys back in exchange for the $200 was that she would rescind this complaint with the Revdex.com as it is totally ridiculous and clearly in malice. Perhaps at this point if she does not agree to withdraw this totally invalid and malicious complaint we will have to contact our attorneys and sue for the full damages under the signed agreement of the "Recission Agreement" which shows she owes considerably more money for the use of the vehicle.

I reject [redacted]'s response because the dealership does not see what they are doing as wrong.    From their response:  "The addition of accessories and other additions are common practice in the automobile, RV and motorcycle/ATV industry and are not intended as "bait and switch"."  Just because this is "common practice" does not make it right.  The vehicle with the internet price advertised/quoted does not even exist on Gerry Wood's lot.  This is dishonest, intended or not.  My advice to them is don't advertise or quote a price on the internet that cannot be met.  To me that is Bait and Switch, and if no one has told them this before, it is time for the to hear it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me; however, I would like to make a note that I explained to Brad Wood that he needs his sales people to explain to customers that the rebates are specific to certain vehicles. He said that he would.I would also like to say that it has been very difficult trying to get the correct message to Revdex.com. Case was closed before it was resolved because I didn't receive an email from Revdex.com that I needed to contact them. I sent email yesterday explaining all this and it is not on the complaint. Website is not user friendly.

I am rejecting this response because:No one ever contacted me and never ever was anything mentioned about a lapse in my insurance or an FS1 form. The only person I was ever able to speak with was my sales person and I contacted her and SHE was just as shocked as I was! I never even new I had a new tag until I contacted the tax office after I received an notice from the tax office and THEY told me that a tag was issued to me and it was at the Kia place and I needed to go immediately and pick it up. If my insurance was lapsed how was it that you were able to get a new tag?  I knew there would not be fair game in this situation. In the world of business honesty is rare commodity. I know the big guys win. Thanks Revdex.com again at least you got me a response.

In reference to miss [redacted], I as well as Jorral have been in contact with the customer today. We have since diagnosed and repaired her vehicle at no charge to the customer. There was a rock stuck in the shifter mechanism under the vehicle preventing it from going in to park there for generating the...

DTC. Customer has stated that she will remove the complaint today.  As far as the communication with the customer Jorral stated he was in touch with the customer at least two times per day Friday and Saturday and on Saturday morning the customer stated that she was picking her car up due to her need for transportation and the fact that we did not have a diagnostic yet. So the technician pulled the car back out of the shop and it was not until Tuesday morning when who I presume is her boyfriend/fiancé contacted Jorral back later and stated he would like us to go ahead with the diagnostic. I have explained to Ms [redacted] that regardless of her extended warranty, had we put her in a rental vehicle a rock in the shifter cable would not have been a covered repair and she would've been responsible for the rental charges. Also, that is why we wait until we have diagnostic before advising customers to take rental transportation if the customer has concerns about being charged for a rental vehicle. Customer has stated she will be returning here for service and that she really appreciates the service that we provided her and she apologized for leaving the complaint.

We are afraid that this complaint is not for our business. This client is complaining about the financial institution from which they borrowed money to purchase their vehicle. We do not loan money, do not make collection calls and do not repossess vehicles. Please direct your complaint to the...

appropriate business.

Part of the response is true. I would I was the one that contacted the business Friday and Saturday on updates on my car. I will say that Mr.[redacted] has provided excellent service and kept me updated and was in contact with me once the complaint was received. He advised thst he would speak with his team about communication. Mr. [redacted] was very apologetic and understanding. With the service he provided addressing my concern I will do business with the location again

I am rejecting this response because: The actual complaint is that the Dealership lied to my face to begin with. They are completely full of st if they expect me or you or anyone else with a brain to believe that this is somehow not their fault. I talked to the Loaning Institution and they said the same thing, "It's not their fault the dealership lied." Both businesses are playing like they don't know what they are talking about. In actuality it is indeed the Dealership's fault. Without any regards to anything except their greedy need to make a sell, They Lied. Their lie has nothing to do with the second institution.

For me (Brad Wood) This is the first time I have received any concern regarding this situation. I will be happy to speak with the client personally and determine any and all applicable rebates that they qualify for with regard to the specific vehicle they purchased and the qualifying rebates...

associated with that purchase. When/if we determine that there are factory incentives that were available and they were not applied to the purchase I will process all paperwork necessary to get the funds to the buyer. I can be reached via email at [redacted] or direct call to my office at [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
I have sent email and left a message on voice mail to Brad Wood several days ago. As of today, he has not contacted me back.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I filed this after I spoke to [redacted]. As stated I feel like I was tricked into the sales price. The package cost an additional $499. I'm not sure why they keep saying its free. I have the contract. The package was never brought up until I signed the contract. I previously stated on The other email that no other dealership automatically adds this to the sales price. It is a option. There is no way this is mandatory.  The items in the contract listed as mandatory are Dealer administrative fee and secure ETCH . All other items are added in. I still would like a refund of $499.I have a copy of the contract if needed.

I spoke with you Sandra on the phone this week and explained that the vehicle you ended up purchasing did not qualify for any rebates, including the two you reference in your complaint.I emailed printouts from the Dodge website showing this. You said you’d contact the Revdex.com and tell them that you had heard from me, and it was resolved. You did not.Revdex.com, I’d like to address this with you for this complaint.
