Review: We used SD Movers to move our office furniture to our new office. We've been using them for years and did not have issues in the past. However, this last time around, during the move, they damaged our building's stairs and tore part of the carpets when moving furniture. We asked them to take care of this as the landlord was not happy about it and threaten to make us pay for it. They said they would take care of it and finished the move that day. However, days to follow, our landlord asked us if there were going to contact them with insurance info. We thought at this point they did. But when we tried contacting them, they blocked our phone numbers. We tried emailing, and nothing again. We ended up calling them on a different phone line to confirm we were being blocked, and it finally went through. When we talked to them again, they denied blocking our number and they said it wasn't a big deal and wasn't their fault. After much arguing, they finally contacted the landlord. However, they did the same thing to the landlord and dodged them about the damages, coming up with a variety of excuses, ignoring them on follow up communication, and nothing was resolved. A week or so later, our landlord said nothing was resolved and that they've been ignoring them again. We followed up via email and we got an email from them basically saying it wasn't their fault per their insurance. We asked for their insurance contact information, but they wouldn't give us the name. Eventually, they gave us a phone number, but no name. The phone number they provided went straight to an unknown voicemail every time. I'm assuming it's not a real number or person.Unethical people and unprofessional. They blocked our phone numbers, ignored us, & gave us false contact insurance information. They're going through this whole process, ignoring us, and at times "communicating", in order to drag it on longer, in hopes that we will just forget about it so that they don't have pay for the damages.Desired Settlement: I'd like SD Movers to pay our landlord for the damages as they are making us pay for it. Depending on timing, if they take it out of our deposit, I'd like for them to pay us back. It's evident that it was caused by them and they know it. They're going through this whole process, ignoring us, and at times communicating, in order to drag it on longer, in hopes that we will just forget about it so that they don't have to pay.
