This was what happened in our office on Nov 9th 2016You came to our office on 11/9/for a discomforted toothWe recommend taking a new pano X-ray due to the fact that your latest one was from your last visit to our office, on 6/26/We have also explained that because of the frequency
policy, your insurance will not cover this X-ray and as a result you will be responsible for thatThe pano X-ray fee is $100; with the $courtesy your total will be $So far you have paid $and have agreed to pay the remaining another weekAfter consulting your X-ray, the Drrecommends to have the tooth extractedWe explained the copay fee to you: $for the extraction plus a $deductibleThe total estimated copay will total to be $We ALWAYS alert our patients of the copay fee before any procedureIn addition, we never told you $will be enough to cover the procedure, because we could not determine what needed to be done before the X-ray.*** ***, if you could please response to her post, that would be greatThank you and have a great dayLeslieSmile Design Dental***

[redacted]I'm rejecting the response because it is untrue. The X-ray was not RECOMMEND, it was told to me I had to get it in order for the doctor to treat me. I was told my insurance would not cover this 70.00 fee. I then explained that I was unaware of all these extra fees and was only told to come to my appointment when the appointment was made. No monies, co pays, or possible fees were discussed before the appointment either. It was only until I was called back that fees continued to pop up. I clearly explained to the doc and his assistant that I ONLY had 50.00 and if that would not cover the visit, I wasn't willing to give them my last 50.00. I was then told to just get the x ray done. After giving the money and getting the x ray done, I was then approached for more money. I was told if I could not pay this money, I would not be treated. These people are crooks. The doctor gave me nothing for the pain during that visit. It wasn't until I retuned and requested to be treated that the doctor gave me a prescription for Motrin a over the counter med I had to beg for, which the doctor clearly told me he knew would not work. I would have never had the visit if I was told upfront honestly of the cost, because I did not have the money. They tricked me out of my last 50.00. I clearly told the doctor at the very beginning of the visit I wanted the tooth removed. This business is very dishonest.
