I purchased a zinc table from Stephen over the phone and didn't even look at reviews because I was so impressed with his professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge in the one phone call I was not disappointed! I held off writing a review because I wanted to see how the table fared after use It is fantastic We purchased a large table that can seat ten and already have set out there after dinner for hours talking and laughing and telling stories - just like when visiting family in Italy Just what I was looking for in an outdoor dining experience - now if only I had the cheap excellent wine and the wisteria The delivery was seamless and happened months before I expected the table It came before the company finished my patio

My designer & I were in Round Top for the spring Antique Weekend shopping and ordered a custom made zinc coffee table & two end tables for outside at our ranch. We paid in full with a check on March 28, 2015. [redacted] told us the tables would wear find outdoors uncovered and they have never heard complaints and that we would have the tables within 3 weeks. I followed up to find out the status and after about 45 emails, calls & messages through their website (many unanswered), I kept getting put off and told it would "ship soon". We asked for photographs before it was shipped and when we finally received a photo 6 weeks after the purchase, the coffee table base was WRONG. He changed the base and I asked if it was supported in the middle because of it's large size. He said it was... It was shipped out and we finally received the table June 5 (10 weeks after ordering). The table is warped and scuffed. We are so frustrated with this whole experience and DO NOT recommend this vendor.

I typically rely on reviews prior to buying things, almost to a fault. This is one situation where I'm glad I had not done much research prior to initiating this purchase. I initially talked with Steve via his direct cell # that he provides regarding his zinc top farm tables. He was incredibly helpful in answering my initial questions. I decided to go ahead with the purchase, but as I was doing so, I went ahead and googled his business. I was surprised and saddened to find negative reviews. In looking at these, I realized that they seemed to primarily involve damage during shipment. I decided to directly ask Steve about these reviews, and he did not shy away from discussing any of them. Ultimately, the customer saves money compared to bigger brands, and some of this is related to shipping. I learned through our discussions that I should pay slightly more to guarantee the shipment and avoid this problem. The table arrived undamaged and we are incredibly pleased with the purchase. The only heads-up I would give to someone is in regards to the shipping company's packaging. It is still delivered as freight and dropped off in the driveway. The table is surrounded by wooden planks, which you have to break down by removing nails. it took a few hours and then a trip to the dump. regardless, this slight inconvenience was worth the great customer service experience and the beautiful table. Thanks to Steve and his wife for all their help.

I would definitely recommend SDS Designs to anyone and everyone I come in contact with...what an amazing table they built!
Brief story: After waiting 8 months for a table to be constructed from someone in Orlando and continuously being "put-off", I found myself once again searching for a table. I located Stephen and gave him a call. I explained what I wanted and he told me he could do it. Send a couple of pics of the barstools I had already purchased and the layout of what I needed. He had it finished, delivered, and set up in less than a month. Let me just say, I was floored. It is perfect. Please do yourself a favor and contact him. Thank you Stephen. Your work is phenomenal.
