I received your letter today about the complaint that [redacted] filed against my company Sea Girl Pearls LLC. I apologize for my late response. I was on vacation last week.  I am attaching information from my suppliers site about the pearls we purchase from them. We are not making...

any false claims. I have never had any reason to believe that our supplier is selling us anything different from what they advertise. In fact we have had other consultants in the past take pearls into a jeweler and they were told they are indeed [redacted] salt water pearls. I would love to see the proof Ms [redacted] received from her Gemologist/Jeweler about the pearls she brought in. We did have rice pearls at one time that our consultants could purchase for a cheaper price that were in fact fresh water pearls. They were clearly marked as such and sold as such. There was no secret that is what they were purchasing. Our oysters are sealed in a bag with salt water & rubbing alcohol. I have literally opened thousands of these oysters. There is nothing harmful in them to cause any kind of burning or other issues that would be associated with a harmful carcinogen. In fact we have had a few dogs of consultants eat some (by accident) and the dogs were fine. We have never ever given any indication of value of the pearls that the consultants are opening. In fact we do not allow our consultants to give any indication of value. We have always said that it is the experience of watching your oyster get opened and discovering what is inside. That is the true value, the experience. We carry both silver plated & sterling silver pieces. All our sterling silver are stamped with the 925 symbol. Sterling silver is mixed with other metals to make it stronger. ALL sterling silver is like this. That is what the 925 stamp indicates. 92.5% is silver and the rest is generally copper. Most of our pieces have a rhodium plating on the silver. This keeps it from tarnishing. The piece is still sterling silver, it just has a protective coating. The difference between the silver plated & sterling silver is very obvious. We have all of our pieces marked with SP for silver plated & SS for sterling silver. I would happily send you both so you can see for yourself. Again, I am getting all my information on these pieces from my suppliers & have never had a reason not to doubt what I am receiving from them. We have a 1 year guarantee on mounted pieces of jewelry. If a pearl falls off, we will fix or replace it. Ms [redacted] has sent in ONE ring that a pearl came off of. We have fixed it and it will be sent back to her this week (after the mounting cement is cured). We will fix any piece with the exception only if the piece has been obviously damaged outside of the normal wearing of the piece. Example, it ran through a garbage disposal or was run over by a car etc. Extreme cases and we have never had that happen so every piece sent in to us has been fixed or replaced. Ms [redacted] has started her own pearl business: https://www.facebook.com/AtlanticShorePearls/ She has posted she does not know how to do mounting of pearls. So I am confused how she would know what kind of cement we use or if we used to much or too little. I have sent in a screen shot of her post saying this. We treat all our consultants fairly and equally. Ms [redacted] had been disruptive during some of our live company updates and we had to ask her to please email us as it is impossible to help anyone with specific questions during these meetings. They are informative and not meant for specific questions on orders or products. With over 300 consultants we would spend all of our time answering questions and never be able to give out the information that we intended the meeting for. I feel this complaint was filed because Ms [redacted] was violating her consultant agreement by purchasing her own oysters & jewelry. She resigned shortly after another consultant sent the information of this to us. Again, I would like to see proof of what she is alleging. I will attach our information for you to review. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for more information if you need it. I will happily send you anything you need. Thank you so much for getting our side of the story with this complaint. We do plan on filing for accreditation with the Revdex.com in the near future. I look forward to hearing from you,[redacted]
