Review: We hired Seagull to fix a leak in our shower that was leaking through to the apartment below us. Within the agreed contract with Seagull C.S. we purchased directly the tile that would be installed and seagull would be paid under contract for labor parts & installation of all work required to fix the leak. The work they completed included removal, replacement & testing of the shower pan. Within one week of Seagull completing their work, given all recommended dry time, the leak persisted. Upon returning to as the source of the leak at this point, seagull was unable to determine the source of the leak. In email form, [redacted] of Seagull construction services stated that upon reviewing the work they had completed he had determined that they had not addressed the issue properly in their attempt to fix the leak, and that in fact the work they had done had not been the required course of action to remedy the issue. As a result of this latter inspection performed after completion of the original contract, [redacted] stated in an Email that the problem was in fact the drain housing and not the shower pan. At this point, despite all best efforts to contact seagull, they have failed to respond further to resolve our leak. Upon bringing in another contractor to as the issue, the new contractor performed a flood test on the shower basin that had been installed by seagull. The basin began to leak even worse than before during this test. The new contractor, both verbally and in written form, determined that the installation of the shower pan performed by Seagull Construction Services was in fact faulty, and would need to be completely replaced. He also determined that there were no issues with the drain housing but that the only issue at this point was caused directly by the faulty installation performed by Seagull Construction Services. Seagull has since been completely non responsive to countless calls, emails & messages we have sent in order to remedy the situationDesired Settlement: Our desired settlement with Seagull would be refund of the full price of the contract and the price of the tile installed. price of the contract was $1,656.00 price of the tile was $241.85Total requested settlement $1897.85
