Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I felt that my concerns about tripping and slipping on the low spot next to the patched area were simply rejected, dismissed, and not listened to The reason I had my driveway patched was to eliminate the areas that had settled from many years of use and to correct an area that had to be removed for water line replacement so that I may be able to age in place in my home without fear of tripping or stumbling on the uneven areas I expressed this many times to both the estimator and the owner of the company that performed the work The seam is lower than the patch and does cause a dip which does hold water as you can see from the pictures I have enclosed After several phone calls to the owner asking him to level the area out and that I did not want the pooling and to please correct the situation, I was told it was not possible The patch may have been done correctly, but the area where the seam is was not done correctly in my opinion and the low spot was caused by the way the patch and seam were done Where does the patch end and the original driveway begin? This is an unfortunate situation as I believe that what I am requesting is a truly valid concern.Sincerely,*** ***

We would like to respond to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com against us by *** *** *** concerning asphalt work we did on the driveway at her residence.
We did do a patch on her driveway, that she did call us about afterwards.
The area she is talking about was done correctly. The area where she says “water pools” is not on the patch itself. It is on the seam of the patch we did, which we sealed with Durafill. The patch itself is crowned, like it should be, and the patch does not hold water. The seam, inherently, is lower than the patch. When it rains, a few drops of water will settle on the Durafill on the seam. The water doesn’t “pool”. We didn’t refuse to fix the patch, there is nothing that can be done to “fix” it, as the patch was done correctly.
If there was something that could be done to “fix” this situation, we would do it instantly. This is an unfortunate situation, as we were out to her residence several times, and really took some special care with this customer. We wanted to do a good job for her, and did the job, as we always do, like it was our own property.
In years of being in business, under the same name, we have never had a complaint filed against us with the Revdex.com. It is especially disconcerting to have this claim filed, as we took such extra care with this customer.
