We did a Pack and Move for Mr. [redacted].  We have signatures on each of the 4 invoices stating that our work was done completely and satisfactorily.  The work was completed within the estimate guidelines, which includes an acceptable variance of up to 20%.  Our standard payment terms are...

to be paid at the end of each day when an invoice is created for the work done on that day.  After the first day Mr. [redacted] said that he thought he could pay at the end of the move, which is never done.  I did agree to extend the payment out to the beginning of the next week, when the move was supposed to be done.  Mr. [redacted] is misstaking me (Cliff [redacted], owner) with my General Manager, Mark [redacted].  I met Mr. [redacted] only once when I did the on-site estimate.  My GM, Mark was onsite several times throughout the Pack and Move and he is the one that Mr. [redacted] dialoged with during that time.  We extended the move date out beyond what we were originally told, because Mr. [redacted] asked us to, based on his closing.  We kept all of his belongings secured in in our trucks throughout this time, which caused us to lease trucks for other moves, but it insured that his items were safely in our trucks until his final move.  As I told Mr. [redacted] from the beginning, our overnight charges are normally $200 per truck per night, but I gave him a special discount of only $100 per truck per night.  At the time of the original estimate, Mr. [redacted] was not sure if his move would require overnight storage.  Therefore, the overnight charges were not included in the estimates that were originally nt to him, but they were explicitly covered in the email that the estimate was attached to and it stated that the overnight charges, if required, are charged at $100 per truck per night. The following are the key facts:1.  The following are the charges by day:7/8:   $ 843.607/11: $2695.787/13: $1343.387/14: $1710.75TOTAL=$6593.532.  The following are the overnight charges (which are included on the charges above)7/9:  $200(2 trucks)7/10:$200 (2 trucks)7/11:$300 (3 trucks)7/12:$300 (3 trucks)7/13:$300 (3 trucks)Total overnight charges = $1300.3.The net packing and moving charges = $5293.53 (not including the overnight charges)4.The original on-site estimate for Packing and Moving =$4685.38; we guarantee that the actual is no more than 20% on top of the estimate5.The actual of $5293.53  (#3 above) is 13% over the estimate; well within the range of our 20% guaranteeIn Summary, we worked hard to make this a successful Pack and Move.  We accomodated every date and time change in the  closings that was requested of us, which extended the dates for the move out; Our charges were what was agreed to in writing prior to the move, including the overnight charges of $100 per truck per night.  The total charges are well within the 20% guarantee that we made.  We allowed Mr. [redacted] to not pay us for the first day until the next week, even though that this is not consistent with our payment practice and industry standard (we tried to accomodate his request).  Mr. [redacted] is owed an adjustment of $89, which is the truck and equipment fee which was charged for the first day---we requested doing the Packing a day earlier than planned and told Mr. [redacted] that it wouldn't cost him anything extra to do so.  If that hasn't been sent to him yet, we will do so. Any further adjustment on the price is not appropriate.  If there was any damage to items caused by our movers during the move, Mr. [redacted] should submit a written request to us and we will evaluate it.  This is consistent with what was communicated to him in an email after his move.We appreciated the opportunity to Pack and Move Mr. [redacted].

Regards,
[redacted] I booked a move, how they address the required work force is up to the business. Stating that I received a discount in the amount of another mover is irrelevant to the complaint. When I booked the move, I gave a detailed inventory of the items that needed moving and as I previously stated they are the movers and therefore they should know the required work force. Also, I had to reassemble the bed in the master bedroom because I got tired of watching the movers attempt to reassemble the bed. I was so frustrated I also told them to not attempt to reassemble my son's bed, which is still in pieces. Additionally, I was not informed prior to booking the repairperson that he worked on weekends. My only regular day off is Sunday, and I usually visit my granddaughter on that day. I still have damage to my house but I do not really want to take more time off work to have someone come and repair the damage that the moving company caused. Oddly enough, I just purchased windows for my house and the window sales person stated that his son also had issues with this mover. Therefore, I believe that my complaint is valid and I am still dissatisfied with the service that I received.

I never received a copy of the contract or a detailed bill. I've enclosed the estimates-one for packing and one for the move.if you would like, I have a receipt for a $114 deposit and for the bee spray that their head mover left to buy.I would also like to clarify several points. Four of us(my friends) were loading a [redacted] truck with items from the garage. One of the movers offered to help us-they charged me for that mover's time and we didn't need his help.  It was agreed before the move that they would dispose of my trampoline for $75.  My parents' dining room set is 85 years old. It was worth thousands of dollars. Their person in charge of the actual move left to get bee spray-I have the receipts.  They spent almost 2 hours fighting the bees even though their was another entrance. I'm sorry if any of this seems petty, these movers left my life in disarray for quite a long time after the move,I've asked Mr Brahm and Matt several times for a detailed bill after the move and have never gotten one.Thank you for your help.

I am very inclined that this company is used to lying to its customers and potential clientele to get what THEY want, not what the CONSUMER wants. Which is our money. There were numerous LIES within the companies response alone. For instance, Cliff introduced himself as the owner when he came to my house. I would have taken note had he only been a manager, which he is claiming now. I never met Mark, who supposedly was at my house packing up my belongings. Unless he was one of the adrican american workers there, thats a lie too. I didn't sign the contract at the end of the day because I was satisfied with their services and business practices, I signed because the workers were instructed not to leave my property until I did so. The first day of moving still needed up costing me almost $1,000 even though it was supposedly free. Another fact was that I mentioned overnight storage from day one. That was the main reason we didnt move ourselves. The initial phone conversation included this, yet the company claims that I didn't ask for it until much later. Since the company states that their phone calls are recorded for quality assurance, that should easily be verified. Yet, the company would rather lie to me, it's customers, and the Revdex.com, rather than righting a wrong. This company has a reputation of devious and con-like business practices and I will make it my personal goal to let anyone and everyone know what scoundrels are in charge there. This will not be the end of this matter, if I can help it. No one else should be subject to this kind of swindel.
Regards,
[redacted]

Regards,
[redacted]  I'm adding my response to the business' reply. They didn't answer most of the issues presented. No response to why overcharged and no receipt for breakdown of charges. The items that were left in garage were last items brought out from inside of house(leaves from dining room table, couch cover, etc.). No response to destroying my parents' dining room set(antique). No response to loss of [redacted] autographed picture. Lastly, they spoke a lot about social worker from [redacted] being pleased with the company;however she didn't actually participate in the move(admitted by her). [redacted] paid $2000 toward the Move.

I have detailed in the attachment why the concerns brought in this complaint are just not accurate.  We did packing and moving for Mr. [redacted].  He had a lot of other people there packing, that could have impacted this.  You will see that we were asked to do a lot of additional things...

that weren't initially planned for--we were happy to do them, but it did increase the time of the move.  I will fax to the Revdex.com all of the invoices; Please note that the [redacted] paid a significant amount of Mr. [redacted]'s move.  Our contact there was VERY pleased with all of the work we did, under trying circumstances.  In addition, and at NO CHARGE, I provided movers days after the move was over to move boxes to any room that Mr. [redacted] wanted them.  The items in the garage were items that Mr. [redacted] didn't want to move; he contacted [redacted] and when we came out to look at it, we quoted him approx $800 to remove---it was more than a full truck; he sent our team away saying that he didn't want to pay that, thinking that the new owners would just take it; they required him to pay them $750 to take it.  This claim is not substantiated.  We did a lot of work and the move, under trying circumstances was completed well.  The represented form [redacted] told us that we did a GREAT job.
