Search Quest Direct

Review: This has been an ongoing interaction since February 2015 when Search Quest Direct(SQD) initially contacted us. At that time we asked them to provide us with original contract and we would review. No email/fax or mailed letter was ever received. SQD is looking to collect $1642.32 from us for "Online Yellow Pages Advertising" from 2012-13. I contacted Yellow Pages and they stated that we do not owe them anything. I asked for invoice detailing the charges and SQD sent us an invoice from them not "Yellow Pages" dated today. I asked for the original contract and invoice and SQD stated that did not have that information. Robert Scott from SQD did say that if we paid them today by 3pm that SQD would waive the "late charges" of $444.00. I declined until SQD could provide proof of a contract. SQD then stated that they would be carrying us to court and filing this against our business credit.

Review: They call saying that we have allegedly authorized the year before and we have cancelled anything and everything that has to do with Yellow Pages, YP, etc. We have had multiple cancellations for final payment only to get another call from a different company with Yellow Pages the next year. There is never an invoice sent beforehand. Only a call for collection that they draft out of back account. The last phone call was on 7-9-15 from Search Quest Direct saying that we authorized business with them in February 2014. We have records of sending them a check for FINAL Payment with a faxed letter from the company noting that we are cancelling our account and put on their Do Not call/do Not Renew lists.Desired Settlement: To not "owe" them anything for them to never contact our business again.

Review: Yesterday we received a phone call from Search Quest Direct. They indicated that we owed them $1,267.78. If we paid them now they would forgive the fees for a bal due of $899.95 and not take us to court. Under the continued pressure from them I gave them or acct # and acct # for our bus acct. I have never seen any bills, stmts etc. from this company which is based in Anaheim CA. They indicated they have called us numerous times and sent us a number of bills. If I had received any bill from this company I would have looked at it and called them right away. They indicated that we pd them in early Jan 2013. I can't find anything from them. If they had called which I do not believe they did we were never told we owed more money. Apparently was this a verbal 2 yr contract??? I feel this could be a scam. Yesterday via e-mail I did receive a stmt from them indicating the bal due of $899.95. During the phone call I kept asking for when we paid them, I did not get anywhere with my request for info. As far as I can tell our acct was not charged any amt. My husband has several other companies which he advertises with and we get stmts each month from them. These three companies are current. This company refused to be paid via Visa. I have called my bank and placed a stop payt on the check. I want additional information before I pay them anything. I tried to look up this company on the internet and could find nothing. I do recall that the caller indicated to me that they were told by us that the acct was cancelled and not to call us further. Why did they not tell us at the time we need to pay them and why would we need to pay for something we did not receive. He also said we would get a letter indicating the account was pd in full and that we would not owe anything further after my payt. If needed I can give you a copy of this stmt.Desired Settlement: If the check I placed a stop payment on does end up going thru I want a complete refund and not addl calls from them.

Review: They called us letting us know we owed them money. We have never heard of this business before, and do not how they received our company information. They said we overdue on an invoice that we have never received before.Desired Settlement: To dismiss the invoice and take our company off of their contact list. We have never heard of this company before.

Review: Harassment of a alleged debt -- this company has made several calls in attempting to collect a debt that was not entering into. I have asked on MULTIPLE occasions to provide documentation to validate the debt and they have advised that they are not in possession of the documentation and that it would be necessary to go to court in order to get a copy... I have advised them of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act that clearly states that upon request they have 30 days to produce validation of debt, however, they have failed to produce any documentation. I have not entered into any type of contract with this company and do not plan to.Desired Settlement: This company to cease and desist all contact, removal of any "supposed" outstanding balance and/or removal of any derogatory reporting

Review: This company is harassing our company ([redacted]) for payment of a web advertising that we never authorized or agreed to.......Desired Settlement: cancelation of invoice/charge

Review: Company keeps contacting us saying we owe the money for contract advertising. We have never heard of this company and have never contracted them for any services.Desired Settlement: To have them stop calling us!! We do not owe them anything and have never heard of them.

Review: yesterday may 22, 2015. I got a call from search quest asking me for a payment of 1647.92, that they were a collection company. and it was from 2011. I asked [redacted], who was this from. they said the yellow pages. the one with the walking fingers. I told him that we never had yellow pages. he told me that he would take off 450.00 if we paid in full now. if not he would have to file it into our local courts and I would have to pay court cost and fees over 3000.00. I kept asking him to send me the old invoices and he said at they already been filed. I asked why is the first I'm hearing about this, we have gotten no bills, and no calls. I asked for more info. but he sent me a invoice for today's date with the total from search quest direct. ( I have a copy if you need it.) so I had to called in back a few times, cause I was looking up the accounts and we never had them. its Friday with a long weekend , and he was able to drop it down to 1200.00. cause I only have 10 min left before they closed I asked if we could do this on Tuesday. he said no, it has to be done now. so what I had to do is a check by phone. so Tues. 5/26/2015. I going to the bank and put a stop payment on the check. I went thru all of my 2010 and 2011 records and we never had them. this has to be a scam, cause every time I called ( I hit different numbers) he was the only one who picked up the phone. I asked him why didn't we get a certified letter. he acted like he didn't no what that was. and I asked him why did it take from 2011 until now. he had no answer.Desired Settlement: I want my money back in full. I want them to never call us again. and stop scamming every one.
