Seashells is a Savings program for shopping. It functions similarly to a piggy bank, virtually collecting your spare change for you. Every time you reach $20 in spare change, we transfer the change from the card that you provided to your personal Seashells account to be spent at a retailer on our...

platform from the app along with an added 15% for free provided by Seashells (transfer $20, $23 is available to spend). On the page where you enter the credit/debit card information, it states "[redacted]."When a user contacts us asking for a refund, we're happy to give them one in cases where they have not redeem their savings at a retailer. In these cases, the redemption code and PIN can't be retracted once they're exposed (meaning once its out there, someone could wait 9 months and use it). Because in this case she redeemed at the Gap, the processor can't refund us. When we were contacted, we said we could refund the user under the assumption that the balance was still in their Seashells account and not effectively transferred to the retailer. Unfortunately, there is no way for us or the retailer to prevent them from using the balance at the Gap in this case down the road, so the refund was denied.
