We have been in contact with [redacted] and explained that we were the Subcontractor that was hired by the General Contractor (KMR) to complete the roof work and that the General Contractor is responsible to provide the warranty.  I believe that she has received the warranty from KMR at...

this point.  When speaking to [redacted] she asked that the manufacturer come and re-inspect the roof.  We have made arrangements for GAF to complete a re-inspection, however they are 2-3 weeks out on scheduling.  We will reply with a full response once GAF has re-inspected the roof and we have the inspection report from GAF.Thank you,[redacted]Office Manager[redacted]

Review: Seashore Construction replaced an entire roof at our property located at [redacted] in September 2013. It has leaked ever since. They have been out twice to look at it and yelled at us to get a plumber to look at the gutters. Seashore finally agreed to check the gutters and said they were fine. The roof is still leaking. Water is pouring in the building. We have called and emailed and sent messages for the last two months and they will not call back. We paid over $150,000 for this roof and they won't call us back. They broke our roof ladder during installation and won't fix it. We have two emails where they agreed to fix the ladder and they will not fix it.

They will not give us our warranty either. It is a 25 year warranty and they will not give it to us.

Please help us.Desired Settlement: Fix the leak or give us a reimbursement so we can get another company to fix it.

Review: Company was hired to install sliding glass door and strip fiberglass deck down to the joists. Contract included a 5 year guarantee . Work was performed 5/28/2010 and company was paid in full. Leakage began in bedroom area below the deck . Removed drywall discovered that the leak was coming from the deck and the sliding glass door area. Called [redacted] building dept. only to find out permit had open status. building inspector failed work and cited co. company rep came out to our home and stated he performed job properly . all subsequent attempts to contact seashore in phone calls not returned. the repairs resulted in further water leakage producing black mold, a health hazard to my family.

in march 2014 my attorney wrote a letter to seashore ( copy of letter furnished upon your request) asking them for specific performance . As of this date , there has been no response from the contractor. my attorney had written to seashore and furnished them with an estimate of $ 15,000 to repair the damage caused by their faulty workmanship and we have received no response. any assistant that you could provide in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Very truly yours, [redacted] and [redacted]Desired Settlement: to be restored to my original position before the work failed.

Seashore Construction states the following:

Ms [redacted]’s account of the events is not exactly true. Yes we did replace her sliding glass door and her fiberglass deck. We did not go over rotted wood, rather this was brought to her attention by Seashore Construction when she called about a leak in her garage after Superstorm Sandy. As was the case with most of the homes in her development which were built in the 80's, they had installed [redacted] house wrap over exterior sheathing and then applied dryvit without applying an epoxy sealant. The [redacted] didn't allow the walls to breathe and the dryvit being a concrete product allowed water to penetrate. There was a class action law suit with [redacted] manufactured in the 80's (time has run out on this). In Ms. [redacted]’s case, over the years water continued to come in causing the plywood and also the support beams over the garage to rot. It's important to note that this rotted plywood was not on the deck Seashore Construction replaced, but on the exterior walls under the dryvit.

We do admit to forgetting to close out the permit, but this is just a formality. We called the building inspector and he came out and closed up our permit. He did NOT fail Seashore Construction's work, rather Ms [redacted] showed him other work that was not ours and not part of our contract or permitted work. We showed the inspector our contract and permit and he agreed. Our work was done and complete in May 2010. We were not contracted to do the work that Ms. [redacted] is referring to.

We have returned your calls and emails and have letters regarding such. At this point you have retained a lawyer, so I don't believe the best format for this discussion is [redacted], however we have and will continue to respond to you in whatever forum you choose.

Please call me if you have any questions,

[redacted], President.

Seashore Construction seeks the following:

This matter to be closed and Ms. [redacted] to remove her erroneous reports on Revdex.com and [redacted].

Review: Seashore construction damaged shingles on the roof after they had installed a new roof and later installed a replacement skylight.Desired Settlement: Fix the faulty work that they performed
