Review: In October I was inquiring on VBRO about vacation rentals on the coast. I mistakenly gave my credit card number, but didn't realize I was making a reservation. However, VBRO states no reservation was indeed made and I have their correspondence on this. However, Seaside Reality gained access to my credit card information and without my knowledge a reservation was made the week of July 4. I received no contract and no correspondence from Seaside. In the mean time I had made a reservation with a place in Cambria. The end of July I saw on my credit card a charge for almost 3,600.00 from Seaside. I contacted both my credit card company and Seaside Real Estate. Initially Seaside said they would refund our money. But as time went by and along with working with my credit card company, not even offering to pay a penalty (one night stay) or even we will rent a place this summer (so they wouldn't lose any money) would assist in working them. They have told many stories to my credit card company, from we actually stayed that week, to we didn't show up, to someone else stayed during that week, to we rented two places that week. The credit card company stated since I supplied my number I owe them 3,600.00. I realize I made a mistate, but they refuse to work with us. In fact accuse us of slandering them and making their lives miserable. I have text messages to indicate we tried working with them. However the only person we spoke with his Marisa. I am interested if there is anyone else over her.Desired Settlement: I acknowledge I shouldn't have submitted my credit card just for a rental inquiry. But to be penalized 3,600.00 for not showing up to a place we had no idea we had booked, seems unfair. I have agreed to pay a night's stay. I no longer want to book a place in exchange, because I do not want in any way deal with this business and their practices again. I am willing to work with them but we can not contact them directly because M[redacted] hung up on us the last call

Our office would not have all of this detailed personal information had Mrs. R[redacted] not BOOKED the property. It is not possible nor necessary to provide this information to simply inquire about ANY property on any website. Please see information attached from Holly Teed- Homeaway software Manager whom has no knowledge of anyone named Kathy, "There isn't even away for you to steal a credit card number. If a guest books through the site and enters their credit card info, they made that booking” Homeaway is taking R[redacted] various statements/claims very seriously and will alleged bank transfer to my acct). My shady comment was used days prior in- if aide this investigation. They are in the process of getting the IP addresses etc to verify R[redacted] claims are false, she did in fact book this home and her various versions of stories are fraudulent.In regards to Mrs A[redacted] StatementsMrs. A[redacted] called our office, she was never "assured it would be taken care of" she let our office know she had already contacted her card company to dispute it. That was the end of it, out of my hands at that point. Received several calls from her and her husband over the weekend on my cell phone because she got a letter from Bank of America saying she was still being charged, She was informed, as was her husband that I don't work for the bank. I was asked to provide information, which I provided and that's it. I did not at any time speak to anyone at Bank of America until Mrs, A[redacted] started having them call my cell phone and office to tell me that they transferred money to my account on August 14" which never happened. Mrs. A[redacted] was informed MULTIPLE times that HER bank has not transferred any money into my bank account, nothing is pending, she's getting bad information, When I asked Mrs. A[redacted] to provide me the proof of this alleged transfer, as it seems extremely shady you’d be placing money into an acct without having supporting documentation, she was unable to produce it yet continued to harass me beginning at 5:45am until 10:15pm with her stories and various versions of information, She was told AGAIN that I can’t do anything to help her, if/when I receive said information- I’ll let her know, I deal in FACTS, she deals on whim and misc stories/versions of truth.Her statement “but again yesterday she told me she didn't promise me anything and that my bank is shady" needs to be clarified with facts. She was never promised anything (please see attached all communications with her in which nothing was ever promised- she just kept rambling and I just kept telling her I Can’t help her when we have no proof or facts of an you're transferring money into an acct, you should have proof of said transfer, No proof is shady. You can also See Mrs. A[redacted] responses in which she rants how horrible Bank of America is and she won’t ever deal with them after she gets her money back.She took to social media claiming my office stole her credit card information and “how many people have we swindled out of money” also accused us of "lying" to the card company when its very apparent to my attorney, the police and our local Bank of America branch that has viewed all of this documentation that its notpossible to “steal" her card, nor was she swindled, Everything provided is the facts, Not partial versions or various truths.In my dealings with Mrs. A[redacted], it’s obvious that she changes her Story and continues to speak to whoever will listen until they tell her what she wants to hear, See attached text messages from the number she used to book the home, Something different every hour until she got an answer she wanted. She places words in people's mouths with a different story everywhere she goes,I was offered $500 dollars to help her "make this go away”. She also asked if she could still stay with our company again. Book a week in another home. Not things you do when you're making the claims Mrs, A[redacted] is making.Her husband called me multiple times and left profanity laced voicemails with threats that have been documented by our local authorities. When I called him back, he was also saying things that weren't valid- when I corrected him he then asked her and she changed her story.The homeaway “documentation” or proof Mrs. A[redacted] is trying to use is also completely contradicting to her claims, Please see my attached documentation from HomeAway, Mrs. A[redacted] only asked for "inquiries" from this individual- not reservations. Anyone you speak with at homeaway will tell you you DO NOT under any circumstance provide credit card information unless you are following through with their booking system. It’s not possible to. There is no way She "inadvertently included her credit card number”, Homeaway is investigating this and will send forth all documentation VALIDATING Mrs. A[redacted] booking as Soon as they complete their investigation,Our office stands by our previous provided information.
