I, *** ***, did speak with this customer on July 5th and I did agree to instruct my employees to not call him or go to his house. However, I did not say that we would not mail him anything. I would not do that, because I know that we at times are required by law to mail
notices to our customersIn this incident, where the customer became late, the Store Manager was trying to be helpful by sending them a form letter letting him know when his payment was due and what his options are. Unfortunately, that form letter included a legal disclosure we make to inform the customer of the cost of a trip charge if we are required to come to the homeThere was never any intent to go out to his home and we did not go out to his home. I can see how this customer misunderstood and could be upsetIt is my understanding that those issues have been resolved now and we have every intention of living up to the agreement and I have reinstructed my employees on not initiating any contact with the customer that is not required by law

This customer came in with a police report yesterdayAfter looking at the police report the Store Manager informed the customer that we would send the claim in, but that there could be a problem getting it covered. She explained that in the police report the police officer says he could not
confirm the possible damage to the door showing forced entry. The officer also states that this may be a civil issue between the customer and his wife since they are still currently married and that the remainder of her stuff was just moved out that day. The police officer is currently trying to reach the wifeThe customer became very upset with hearing this and was the one swearing and being disrespectful. Lebakkens is still putting together all the information needed for making the insurance claim and intends to do everything we can to get the claim covered. It is our hope that either the TV will be recovered quickly from the wife or the TV will be replaced through the insurance claim process
