Season buffet

Business’s statement of the Problem:

On the evening of March 12, 2020, we had a complaint from a family of four regarding our buffet food being too cold. The time of the complaint was near our closing hour and we had offered to reheat the food on the buffet in the kitchen and also offered to cook new dishes for the buffet. They stated that heating the food is “unsafe” but the same food from the buffet is made in the kitchen which has passed all regulations. With all that being said they only offered to pay drinks. They had about eight plates full of food on the table and instead of consuming the food from the first few plates they had continued to take more from the buffet until they decided it was too cold for their liking. All the food on the plates had been tampered with and had already eaten the food on their table. The total price for the four individuals was $47.20 and they denied that amount only for them to call the police on their own will. We had never told them that they couldn’t leave the premises as they stated. Before the police even arrived, we had already offered for them to pay less than half the original price of only $20 for the food that had been tampered and even consumed. Later when the police arrived and after a conversation with the police, they offered to pay $15 and we agreed on that price. The police should have a report on the issue, and as they were leaving the lady had called the owner multiple inappropriate and derogatory terms.
