I was originally contacted by [redacted] and ***'s builder to do work in their bar area of their basement floor well over two years agoThey could not wait for me to do it due to my scheduleThey ended up hiring another contractor named [redacted] to do the work.? After several months had passed I was contacted again by the builderThis time to come and look at the work done by [redacted] and [redacted] were not happy with the quality of the work done and wanted me to fix the bad stain workI agreed to do the work and started in the beginning of October I removed the stain and roughed up the overlay that [redacted] appliedI applied primer to the prepped overlay and applied new coats of microtopping cementitious overlay for new stainIt took many applications and methods of stain to get the look they wantedIt also took extra coats of sealer to get the high gloss they wantedThe job was completed and paid to me on 10/15/They were happy at that time.? Fast forward to march of this yearOne and half years laterI received a call from the [redacted] about the floor peeling up around the edgesI stopped by to look at it and it was coming up around the edgesAfter investigated the situation the original overlay put down by [redacted] was coming of the floor because their was no surface prep done to the basement slabSo I talked to The [redacted] and told them it's failing from improper prep and will need to be removed completely back down to bare concrete and start all overI agreed to do the floor for them and was upfront with how busy I was and they were fine with thatThey said they understood and appreciated that I was going to fix itSo I proceeded to to the workI removed all the coatings back down to bare concrete and prepped the floor to a profile of to accept the new overlayI stained it multiply timesAgain it was very difficult to get the stain back to the way they wanted [redacted] wanted it darker then [redacted] wantedWe also talked about using different sealers this time because the high gloss dulled down in some areasSo I suggested penetrating sealer that would boost color but not show scratches over timeSo once the floor was complete for the 2nd time the [redacted] contacted me saying they were not happy with the shine levelThey wanted it shinerSo I went back to apply a topical sealer and it did not take to the penetrating sealer and would not cure rightIt did make it look badI should have left it alone but I always try to make people happySo I came back to try and burnishing the last sealer because it is a burnishable sealerIt still did not takeSo I came back again and tried to remove the topical so I could reseal with a different topicalThis did not work eitherAfter doing some more research on the penetrating sealer I found out it has silicone in it and cannot be top coated with a sealer/waxIn the past we I have sealed with penetrating sealer and coated over top with protective seal coats with no issues but those did not have the silicone added to themSo basically they floor needs roughed up and re-stainedThe overlay does not need to come off just re-skimmedI explained all this to [redacted] on the phone because at this point in time [redacted] had already become irrational and I could not even have a conversation with herShe has been very rude and hateful through texting and even got on my Facebook page and slammed me for people a horrible personNot one time did I ever say I would not take care of this or give up through out the processI have them a beautiful floor the first time and it failed due to improper prep from first contractorThe 2nd time around the floor looked great until it was sealed with the topical sealer [redacted] has praised me through text and also condemned meShe has said she doesn't trust me and wants her money backI worked on this project and even helped the [redacted] with sealing their pool outside [redacted] wanted to do it himself and save money so I showed him how to do it and let him borrow my pressure washerEven bought the sealer for him to get it to him at my costNow [redacted] is saying I messed up base when grinding which is not trueThere are marks in the base but that is from them removing the shoe mould with a pry bar improperlyI also had plastic hung up everywhere there was barley any mess if any at allI had nothing to do with the electronics systemThey drilled the holes in the ceiling to suspend it? ? I have always stayed in contact throughout the entire processThey were never given a warranty on this product and if they had been it would have been a standard one year which they went pastI never told her anything about something lasting years.? It's obvious at some point [redacted] decided she wanted to get her money back no matter what I tried and since that point has made up most of this toward the endIt's like she did a I've been a contractor in the flooring industry for years now and have never been sued or had to deal with a Revdex.com complaintI would understand if I didn't try and make things right but that's all I have done since the beginning? I am rejecting this response because: Aaron did tell us it would last a good yearshe did tell us [redacted] did a bad job and he could fix itAaron did the job and it was a nice color of browns with a very glossy top coatWe loved how it looked We did contact him because it started peeling up on both rooms at the base boardsWhen we called Aaron he ask me to send pictures so I did He text back and said he would have to fix itHe came over and said it would have to be sanded down to the bare cementWe were going to be gone for a week and he would do it when we were gone He never started and never called till I called when we were back and I called to see what happenedHe did do it but it looks Horrible Horrible Horrible ! We worked with him until I wouldn't take him not showing up WE put up most of the plastic and covered our furniture before we left on our week vacation the 1st time he was back to fix it, he said he did ithe did notAs we stated the 1st time we" begged" for Aaron to finish the job for "4" months. So him saying I only want my money is so far off what we have been telling him , till the last week he said he would be here and never showedAfter not showing up over over and over I ask for my money back months is long enoughSo yes I could have done a in his eyes.He is trying to get out of doing a job he said was badWe reject his response because Aaron never said how he is going to resolve this the floor needs redone and he knows it I have send in the bill we paid him and some pictures of the floor now. Also we gave him 1,in cash to help out to redo the floor , He told my husband we didn't have to give it to him but he took it and now he took us Regards, [redacted]
