Review: We purchased a used washing machine from Sebco in January 2014. The sales representative explained to us that the although there was no warranty, the machine's old and worn parts were replaced and that we should have no problems for the next 5 years. However, 5 months later, we are now dealing with a machine that needs a pressure switch to be replaced and a rubber cap for the leaking. The leaking issue was present when we first brought it home, but we attributed it to a loose connection. We did not think too much of it. When approached Sebco regarding this issue, we were able to tell them that the diagnostic code on the machine was a problem with the pressure switch according to the manual that was sent to us from them. The service manager did not give us a clear price for how much a technician would cost for them to diagnose the problem. When the technician showed up 2 hours late, he informed my mother, who was present at the time for the diagnosis, that there was a problem with the pressure switch, the rubber cap, and possibly the door lock. As I waited to talk to him on the phone, he proceeded to talk on his cell phone for the next 40 minutes. We were told we would have to pay $200 for the diagnosis and that they would charge us labor, parts, and taxes to fix the machine. Although there is no warranty, we feel that we were lied to when they said old parts were replaced prior to selling. They negotiated a $99 diagnostic fee with no offer to repair. I have sent another email requesting better service since they proclaim "excellence." "Excellence" was not shown both through the quality of product nor through their service. Please help me!Desired Settlement: I would like the diagnostic fee of $99 waived. I would like them to repair the machine and only be charged the parts ($140 was the price they gave me).

Review: On Feb 7, 2015 I lost $40 trying to put money on my Sebco laundry card at [redacted]The machine took one $20 bill without crediting it to the card, and mangled and damaged a second one so it is unusable. I called Sebco seven times between Feb 7th and March 13th with no response, so for five weeks they ignored my claim. On March 14th I rec'd a check from Sebco for $20, which is not the correct amount. Sebco has not communicated directly with me despite all the times I called them (and I left my address and phone number when I called), but did communicate with two board members of the building; Sebco told them they had decided to refund only half the amount I lost and I would just have to take a loss for the rest of the money. This is not acceptable.

I have video made with my phone, of the bill that got mangled when it was stuck in the machine and when I removed it. I still have the mangled bill. There is a security camera in the laundry room where the Sebco machine is located.

It is now six weeks after I lost the money and Sebco still has not communicated directly with me. It is extremely disrespectful of them to refuse to communicate directly with me - the claim is mine and they should not be discussing it with anyone but me. It is clear that they are trying to get away with not refunding the full amount that was lost due to the malfunctioning of their machine.Desired Settlement: A refund of the full amount I lost.; not half or any other amount, but the full $40 I lost.
