This company had a rep sell me magazines that I found out were a scam therefore I requested a refund in the allotted amount of time that they gave me, following all the requested, right and necessary steps of which they agreed to send me a refund and never have. I have filed a complaint and nothing happened so I am filing another complaint.

Door to door sale in at my home for magazine subscription 5/7/2020. Receipt says that order can be cancelled in writing or email within 3 business days of the sale. My wife told me on 5/8 that last year she did the same thing and never received any magazines. I feared fraud based on this. On 5/8 I emailed the company with the email provided on the receipt to cancel the sale ([email protected]) and never heard back. On 5/11 (2nd business day) I mailed the signed cancellation contract to the business address: Second Chance 1 LLC, 205 Beldon Street, Michigan City, IN 46360 and have still not heard anything.

Total con artists. I guess they got me hook line and sinker. Then the "salesperson" jada ***, just tried to hit me up for more money through venmo. I feel the chances of stopping the payment, done through venmo, are slim.

I have never received the magazines and the phone number does not receive phone calls

I ordered a year of Scholastic News for my son from a seemingly legit door salesman. I placed the order on 10/28/19 for $52 (!) for a one year subscription. It is now Februaryand never received a single issue. No contact info on how to reach the company. So disappointed in myself, and really humanity. I was trying to help this guy reach his "point" goal, knowingly paying well over newsstand price. I thought at least we would actually get the magazines. Shame on you Second Chance.

On 1/4/2020, a woman from Second Chance came to my door selling magazines. I gave her a check for $120 for a 2-year subscription to *** magazine and directed the magazine to be sent to the *** in Denver. I checked my bank account this morning and learned that both the dollar amount and written amount of my check were changed from $120 to $420, and that someone initialed the change with my initials and deposited or cashed the check for $420. I have called my bank to report the fraud and have attempted to contact Second Chance about the incident.

this company solicited at my door, I bought magazines and then decided to ask for refund before they deposited my check. I followed all the necessary steps within the allotted timeframe and was told my refund would be in the mail 6 weeks after my email. It has been 3 1/2 months and I have not received my refund of $380.00 nor are they responding to my emails about when I can expect it to arrive. I believe this company is a fraudulant company and demand my money as they promised.

To whom it may concern,

A “2nd Chance, LLC” solicitor rang the doorbell to my apartment and attempted to make a sales pitch however made my boyfriend and I uncomfortable. While he was a nice gentleman we just felt uncomfortable by the jokes the solicitor was saying and how he was behaving. I felt pretty manipulated and uncomfortable & wound up placing an order I did not want. Solicitor also was very dishonest and misleading about the cost of the product. For 12 magazines I shouldn’t be paying $80, the magazine isn’t even a legit one. Solicitor did not give me a receipt, contact number, or anything that promised the delivery of a product. He simply took the money and left. I am not even sure if he wrote down the address, because he didn’t ask me for one. I do not want to cause any trouble I just want to be refunded. It was my check number 120 and this occurred on October 16th.

On March 1st 2019, I paid Second Chance LLC $180.00 for 48 Issues of Star Magazine. They never delivered the product and have not responded to my request for a refund.

Receipt No. V51295
Seller: J. E

The check was cashed and endorsed by Robert J

Second Chance Response • Sep 20, 2019

We have absolutely no affiliation with Second Chance Sales therefore we have no information on this customer's order. We apologize

I purchased overpriced magazines from this company on Oct 6 2018 for $354 on order V via check. The magazines have never been delivered. I filed a complaint in May 2019 - ***- where the company said they would be providing a refund - it never came. A second complaint was responded to saying they had no record of the refund - which they shouldn’t have as they lied about the refund. This company appears to be a complete fraud.
