Review: In October 2014 I hired this company to replace 3 staircases, railings, posts and spindles for me. He told me it would be a 2 day job and it turned into 6 weeks.

The install was completed on Nov **, 2014 in which I then gave him the full balance of our contract.

A week later I notified him that I found a split in one step and a pertrusion on the stringer part. He told me he would send someone out. On Christmas Day December ** I had guests. They were using the stairs, Suddenly we heard a loud pop. When we inspected the stairs we noticed one step had a stress crack in it. I notified him of this new problem, and now had new gaps in the steps.

He told me wood doesn't shrink, apparently it does!

He sent a repairman out a few weeks later. Areas of steps and gaps were puttied and sanded but this was a temporary fix.

The custom stairs now have many gaps between the step and the riser. The one step is now cracked about 12inches. The basement ceiling sits right beneath these stairs. The stringer is not secured to my wall, it is now sticking out and pulled my new molding off the wall damaging my newly painted walls.

He will not return my calls! He is so unprofessional . He won't fix my problems. It is almost 10 months since I notified him of the cracked step and he is obviously not coming back. I have left him (Mike and have spoken to his right hand man Kenny on many occasions) now they avoid my calls.

The stairs are not safe! They squeak, and you can see them bend when someone steps on them. I have a spinal disability and my husband has a lung disorder from working at ground zero for weeks. He is disabled from the NYPD. We need sturdy stairs! We cannot risk a fall! He knows this!

I thought I made a good decision when I hired this company. I have had nothing but problems! Please help us.Desired Settlement: We told him kindly on many occasions he was welcome in our home to correct this matter, since he is now avoiding us and ignoring us for the last five weeks we no longer want him in our home .

We are extremely disappointed in his treatment of us.

we would like a full refund because I need to hire someone to replace the stairs or fix the problems. This is not the quality we expected.

Review: Aug, 2014 I contracted with Michael, owner, for interior stairs and rails. This was the one and only time I personally met him. In brief, product delivered in Sept, 2014 was not Wat was expected. I had even sent Michael a text with a picture stating that the rails should hit the top of the stairs. He simply responded that I would be happy. On the day of delivery, I was shocked at what was delivered. Awful and very uneven stain in the wood and the side had a stringer, which I specifically DID NOT WANT. I was here with four strangers who brought the stairs who told me that, because the stairs did not have a wall below them, the stringer was necessary. They're promised to correct the stain and defects in the stairs over the three days SCHEDULED to complete the installation. Since the old stairs were already partially removed, and since I have no knowledge of what is required to install a staircase, I foolishly believed them. They took the three days to do the work I was not happy, but I did not withhold pymt because Kenny, Michaels partner, promised to make it right. They did come one more time to try to make the back of the staircase presentable because initially they left me with a raw, open, unfinished back

I have months worth of texts and pictures between myself and Michael in which he assured me he would resolve the issue to my satisfaction. As a matter of fact, he said they had decided to replace the entire staircase and he gave me a new install date if Dec *, 2014.

I have it in writing. I Took the day off but they never called or came. He advertises in Staten Island magazines in full color, showing staircases with no wall underneath them. In addition, every picture shows staircases with rails to the steps the way I asked him to do mine. None of the pics show the rails halfway covered by an ugly riser. I say this to show that I was totally lied to and the texts also will prove that. I contacted the Dept of Consumer Affairs, and it is my understanding that he did not return any of their calls or respond to any efforts to communicate with him. This is all documented and public record. I am so disappointed that Michael did not keep his word or stand by his company.Desired Settlement: I believe I am entitled to a refund for delivery of a product that was unsatisfactory
