Review: My daughter was struggling in school and one of the recommendations was to try Karate in her treatment. I signed my daughter up with [redacted] Karate 1/6/13 at that time it was shared with me by [redacted] this was a 9 month program- or there was a longer program which I knew I didn't want. So I was told there would be $79.00 dollar installments bi weekly via bank draft. None of the "contract details" were reviewed or discussed. As I was desperate to help my 7 year old daughter and honestly I didn't even question or think to ask. My daughter did Karate for a few months and really didn't enjoy it. My work schedule changed/daycare changed. I reached out to [redacted] to ask about terminating the contract. He told me that I had to work with the billing company he couldn't do anything. He left messages on my home phone that he was disappointed in our parenting. Then came letter in mail with "Dear [redacted]" how we stink at parenting and the last letter came when I requested a copy of my bank draft. My issue is not that I didn't read or ask about the contract because I continued to have bank draft 79.00 until I received bill from a billing company with late fees. When I questioned who they were and why all the sudden I am receiving a bill when Jan-Apr were electronic they said they were a new company taking over. I didn't know [redacted] didn't do their own deductions. I had to send this billing company all my April payments via email 6/7/13. I have called the billing company 4 times requesting they correct the bill and send me a new bill with no late fee's and they are not. The billing company requested I send them all my previous payments but I told them they should be working with [redacted] Karate to figure that out. I spoke with a [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] at this billing company. To date I can't resolve my issue. When I called today to follow up as to why I haven't received a call I was told [redacted] has 7-10 days to response to the billing company. That would be today.Desired Settlement: I would like to know why I wasn't informed of their billing practices or contract details?Can [redacted] Karate turn my accounts over to third parties without letting me know who they are sharing this information with?I would like an explanation why this billing company is not handling my contract appropriately- keeping me informed, not returning my calls nor offering more information about themselves/company.
