I am rejecting this response because:I am a little confused.  MMI said that they explained to us that the system was leaking but never made the effort to find that leak.  We eventually had the compressor replaced by a different company, for a considerable amount of money less, and now the system is working great with no leaks.  This tells me that the compressor was the problem the whole time and MMI never told me this.  There for, all I am asking for is to be reimbursed us the $587 for the Freon that MMI put into my system for apparently no reason. One other complaint that we neglected to mention previously.  When the other company replaced the compressor, they also noticed that one of the fans had been reversed and was blowing air the wrong direction.  A possible cause to why the compressor was over heating and eventually burnt out. I truly feel that if MMI thought that we were personally attacking him, then why would he have serviced us for the past 2 years.  He could have easily refused to service us. We never had an issue with him until now.  Now that we have found a new company to service our system, we have learned that his pricing was extremely high and provided services that either were never done or repairs that didn't need to be done.

I am rejecting this response because:the way he explained his work through invoices that(he attached)  it clearly tell that the whole time he was pretending to put Freon in compressor in reality it was a lie, and you can see clearly the money I spent  on replacing the compressor ( attached invoice) is much less than I spent on Freon with (MMI). as a businessman myself I would much rather spend  one time money on compressor than spending money on freon every other month   and not to forget  there is no leaks whats so ever , you can look at the invoice that the third party did the work there was no leaks fixed. I trusted this guy  the whole time  he told me that every compressor needs freon twice a year. Now I realize that the whole time he was being dishonest with me.

It is true that the above referenced customer was under my care for multiple years. I was called for a repair due to the temperature problem that they were experiencing. This was not a call for a “regular checkup”. The temperature was going up. In checking the system, I determined that it was low on...

Freon. Low Freon means that there is a leak somewhere in the system. In previous services, it was decided to just fill it to get them going. As usual, the system got filled again and again. The problem causing the leak was never authorized to be fixed by the customer due to cost. At this service call, just like the others, the customer was present at the unit side and witnessed the filling. I produced an invoice that was for the amount of $585.72. This customer is one if those people who always try to reduce the amount. “Business is not good, I will give you this much.” I’ve been through that a number of times with them. He paid cash (his voice). A check would have been okay. The system was working fine at the time gave them the invoice and when I left. The temperature was dropping. They called late that night and said that the temperature was up. I returned to the location (same day) and checked the system. They had a blown fuse on one leg of a three phase power. I replaced the fuse. Tried to start the unit and the system failed due to tripping the main breaker. The unit suffered an internal electrical short.Possible causes:Old AgeLack of oil from years of “just fill it”Bad power supply I advised them to replace the compressor and I gave them a price quote the next day. The price quote was $9,726.90 that included a new compressor, new gas, 2 new evaporators, all new piping, 5 yr compressor warranty, misc. parts, and installation. It is their right to call for pricing from other people/companies. They obviously have done so. There is no way that any other person/company can match my prices and do the same exact work with the same exact parts/equipment. It is ridiculous that they are claiming that my prices are 10 times higher. I play straight with all my customers and do not appreciate the language that they have used. It is defamation. There will be no refund. They enjoyed the use of the product (as much as it was for a short time) and my time. Just because their equipment went south, I should not be the one to bear the responsibility for their lack of proper care of their equipment. I can only advise my customers on the proper care of their equipment.
