It appears the consumer is correct We neglected to send the itemized bill with the other documents I have asked for the information to be mailed again including the itemized bill this time It will be mailed on 11/27/ We have not reported this to any credit bureau as of today Our credit bureau reporting procedure is to report an account 30-days after we mail the consumer our information on the debt As far as the perceived HIPAA violation, we have signed Business Associate Agreements between Secured Resolutions and all of our health provider clients This allows us access to the information by law Secured Resolutions follows all HIPAA regulations (among many others) to protect a debtor’s/patient’s privacyWe take consumer’s validity requests very serious as you can see our responses are quick Our industry requires us to answer in days however we always try to beat thatTime line of events: 11/1/– we received the consumer’s debt validity request 11/2/– we contacted our client for additional information 11/6/– we received additional information from our client 11/7/– documentation was mailed to consumer I’m confident once the consumer reviews the itemized bill we can put their mind to rest If there are still questions I ask the consumer to work with us We’re not a typical collection company We do care about all of our client’s patients and we treat them with respect

I am in contact with our client to remind them they do tell us when to add a fee and when not to The Intake Form they submitted to us for Mr*** indicated we should add a 30% collection fee Under their direction we did I am reviewing this documentation with our client and
will update this complaint once I have additional information from them The good news is we have not reported this account to any of the credit bureaus we exchange data with I’m confident we’ll be able to clear up any misunderstanding once we research and determine where the misunderstanding is
