Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
[redacted] I saw nothing in their answer telling me why they raised my rates at 10%

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Received packet with response letter from [redacted] office dated 10/2/2014, in the letter on page 2: "History Report which reveals that on September 5th, 2013 at your residence location that you did have some wind gusts but the report does not identify any sizeable hail hits." I am attaching pictures from my neighborhood and from the [redacted] newspaper archives from my neighborhood on the hail storm.
My argument is how can houses in my same neighborhood, and right next door to me suffer hail damage significant enough to replace their roofs and mine did not. There are 2 other houses covered by Travelers in same neighborhood, that their roofs were repaired?
Also because of the age of my roof, it will suffer more damage including granular displacement from the hail impact.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

A response was sent from Travelers on October 15, 2014 as follows:
Your complaint alleged that you were misled and misinformed
when you called to add your daughter as a driver to your policy as well as an
additional vehicle. I hope this letter will clarify the situation and you will some
to...

understand that in fact, the policy was rated appropriately based on the
circumstances presented to us.
The first critical point to understand is that in the State
of California, a new driver under the age of 18 first obtains a “Provisional
Instruction Permit” – which permits the operator to gain supervised driving
experience in preparation for the subsequent road test. Once the road test is
passed, the operator is issued a “Provisional Driver’s License”. As the name
suggests, this is a “driver’s license”, albeit with restrictions pertaining to
other occupants in the vehicle and night driving.
From an insurance perspective, these are two very distinct
situations. A driver who only holds the “Provisional Instruction Permit” can be
listed on a policy but will not impact rating until such time as he or she
becomes licensed. Meanwhile, an operator who holds a “Provisional Driver’s
License” will impact the premium charged on a policy, as of the date that
person is added.
Applying this to your situation: you called Travelers and
indicated that you wished to add your daughter and a second vehicle to your
policy. We asked for your daughter’s driver’s license number (which would have
confirmed her license status) but you indicated that it was not available. In
lieu of this, you clearly stated that your daughter’s driving privileges were
not limited to that afforded to the holder of a “Provisional Instruction
Permit” and that in fact, she was able to drive unsupervised, subject to
conditions.
Without having the driver’s license number available,
Travelers would have no way to confirm her license status. At the same time, we
would have no reason to question what you told us in the call. Therefore, we
proceeded in the appropriate manner by adding her as a licensed operator and
adding the vehicle as you specifically requested that we do.
The premium that was charged is correct for the situation
presented. In your correspondence to Revdex.com, you indicated that you just found out
that you “cannot insure a learner”. Based on the information you provided in
the call, we did not consider her a “learner” (i.e. holder of a “Provisional
Instruction Permit”) but rather as a driver (holder of a “Provisional Driver’s
License”. If that is inaccurate and she only held the “Provisional Instruction
Permit” for the period from May 27, 2014 – October 6, 2014, you would be
entitled to a premium reduction. In that event, please provide documentation of
her license number to me and I will investigate further and take any
appropriate action.
If she held a “Provisional Driver’s License” during the
period in question, we stand by the amount as charged."

A response was sent to [redacted] from Travelers [redacted] Office with the following explanation.
"You policy was
nonrenrewed due to your loss experience.
During the past 3 years your policy incurred one loss that resulted in a
3 year loss ratio of 970%.
 * One loss on 04/27/2013 incurred $35,570."

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I just emailed the form back this morning.

Coplaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Seems to me this very important document would be located online with the rest of my policy documents. Also Travelers say they had to lienholder listed as well as no title for the car. Sounds pretty sketchy to me....
Sincerely,
[redacted]

A response was sent 9/22/2014 from [redacted] Business Center.
"Thank you for your recent
inquiry to Travelers through the Revdex.com.  I appreciate
having the opportunity to speak with you by telephone today and I am sending
this letter as a follow up to our...

conversation.

information provided, we have updated the information for the replacement cost
estimator for your home. Your new coverage amount of $361,000 effective

A response was sent to [redacted], September 22, 2014 from Travelers [redacted].
"We
appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
First,
please accept my apologies for your overall service experience with Travelers. We
pride ourselves on delivering the best customer experience and sincerely regret
not meeting those expectations for you.
As noted in our original response, the primary cause for the
increase in premium at your renewal is due to Travelers introducing revised
rates and factor adjustments for [redacted] since your policy last renewed.
I did thoroughly review your account and I can confirm that
you are receiving the following discounts: Continuous Insurance Discount, Good
Payer Discount, Home Ownership Discount, Paid in Full Discount, Safe Driver
Discount & New Car Discount for the 2012 [redacted]. There are
additional discounts available for which you may qualify; please contact our
Licensed Service Representatives at 1-800-###-#### for a review."

An email response was sent to [redacted] on October 8, 2014.
Although collections has been stopped, she will need to sign a Lost Policy Release Form and return it to Travelers, in order to receive a refund to the backdated cancellation date of the policy.

Travelers position has not changed since the prior responses to Ms. [redacted], therefore another response is not being sent.

A response was sent to Ms. [redacted] on October 28, 2014 from Travlers.
Travelers was unaware of her intentions to cancel her policy as no contact was made to the [redacted] Agency. In the case that she does not contact Travelers with her intentions to cancel, Travelers will send a cancellation notice...

if we do not receive payment on the first mailed bill.  The [redacted] requires all carriers to offer coverage until the date shown on the notice of cancellation.
In review of her inquiry, Travelers has back dated the cancellation of her policy to June 27, 2014, her intended cancellation date, which brings her balance to $0.  Collections has been contacted and advised she has no balance due and to stop collection activity.

A response was sent to Ms. [redacted], October 23, 2014 from Travelers.
"Travelers has
researched your file and we are willing to reconsider coverage for your
business.  This will be based on a new
application for insurance and will depend on current underwriting
criteria.  Please...

contact your insurance
agency so that they can help to obtain the appropriate underwriting
information."

A response was sent to Mr [redacted] from Travelers, on November 14, 2014  which outlined the results of a reinspection.    The bottom line, a supplemental payment will be made for the sunroom, and a separate claim will be opened for the bathroom window and a payment to be...

made.

Travelers position remains unchanged since the last response to Mr. [redacted].

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I rejected the previous response because the detail provided on the Revdex.com website was insufficient. However, a couple days after I rejected on the website, I received a written letter from Travelers explaining the situation in detail. I then attempted to come back to the website to reverse my selection, but there was no way to do so. Unfortunately, it means someone at Travelers had to review my account a second time and provide a second written response. I am now accepting this.

Providing the ability to edit your response is functionality that should be considered.

Sincerely,
[redacted]
