Initial setup and installation was great back in November 2015, after instillation service-- not so goodI bought an in home monitoring system in November 2015, to monitor my mother- in-law who has Alzheimer's and also to keep an eye on her care giver via my smart phoneThe system worked fine for a month or so then started failing and continued to do so several times, It got to the point I was afraid to even look at the cameras for fear that something would failBJ blamed it on my computer and router so I bought a new computer and a high end router $1300, the camera system worked fine for last six months but now one of the cameras is not streaming, and as in the past whenever I call BJ he comes across as though, he doesn't have time to bother with me or sounds irritated that I even called and says he'll call me back the next day, that day never seems to comeSeveral times all he wanted to do was connect to my computer from his location and look at the problem, that worked OK but it never really gave me an understanding of what caused the problem or how it was resolvedI have invested $1,in this camera system that has no user manual or any self-service availabilityIf you want a monthly paid monitored system you may receive better after the sale service but if you want a system you can just monitor what's taking place in your house when your away don't expect much help if a problem arisesI have decided to just use this system until I am no longer able to monitor the remaining cameras and chunk the whole camera system and possibly buy something off the shelf that is user friendly for less than 1/the cost1/23/Update **now none of the cameras work this system is headed for the trash

Security Pros is a security alarm company licensed with the State of Texas Private Security Bureau.  We are an authorized dealer for Monitronics.   As a fully licensed company, we have taken all the necessary measures to operate legally in the State of Texas.  If there are any questions or concerns the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau can be reached at 512-424-7293.  As an owner of a company, we are not required to hold separate licenses for each job duty.  In this case, the installer is the owner of his company so his license covers his installing job. When checking the Texas Department of Public Safety’s website, it will give a full employment history.  [redacted] G. been installing alarms in San Antonio for over 10 years so obviously some of his previous licenses will be expired. Nevertheless an active owners license will supersede any sales, installer, expired, etc.
 
[redacted] rants about or mailing address, it is perfectly normal for a business to have a mailing address. Our physical address is properly filed with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
 
Douglas’s system worked properly when tested. We also have the fault codes where he has made it apparent to us that he is deliberately faulting his own system in an attempt to get out of his contract.  He acknowledged that he wasn’t happy with GE and wanted Honeywell.  We offered to give him an equal amount of Honeywell equipment, however, he demanded 3 extra $400.00 keypads. We only originally charged him $348.00 so there is no way on earth that we could give him $1,200.00 for free.                    
 
This system was working and has functioned correctly as it should.  There is no need to switch out a system that is functioning properly.  This is a situation were he is just complaining to get a something for free.  We will bend over backwards for our customers to please them and keep their valued business, however, the price gap in this matter is was too much of an increase to upgrade at zero cost.  We never refused our services.  We simply stated the cost of the wanted equipment and this is when things became heated.
 
In regards to not returning phone calls, ** has returned every phone call and email even after [redacted] stated he would punch ** in the face & called our equipment f#ing junk so we decided to let him cool off.  This is not a professional way to handle this situation and will not be tolerated.  Addressing his resolution, he was offered the cancellation of the contract without a refund, which he denied.  We feel this is a reasonable solution considering this was never a faulty system and had this option been accepted, we would have been left with over $1,000.00 in used equipment.
 
We stand behind our product and our service.  We have secured numerous homes and businesses over the years with this same system and complete satisfaction.  It is unfortunate, as a business owner himself he feels the need to take on every avenue to wrongfully bash a company as a means of using this as leverage to receive a system that cost more money than he is willing to pay for.
