Recently an advertisement was on (in sticky form) our local newspaper about 30% off of spring equine vaccinations. The add was to offer the discount through May 31st with no small print about any exclusions whatsoever. Today I called to make an appointment for my horse and donkey, to have their annual exams and vaccinations. I was informed by the receptionist that the discount was only through the end of April. I read her the add. She said it was not their add. Again, I read her the add. Then she said if they did honor the add, it would not apply to farm calls. To which I replied your add does not say this whatsoever. Then I was told it was not their add. Again I read her the add. Then I was told that the newspaper just made an add without their permission. I was born at night but it wasn't last night. I used to make adds for my business. You sign off on all copy for all adds. Newspapers don't simply create adds. Each line of text costs money. So I told her this. At which point she again said it wasn't their add. I emailed the add to their [redacted] page and posted it on [redacted] . Then the vet called me and said "well you haven't been a good customer in the past 6 years" to which I replied, so what! I have used another vet for 6 years, but now my horses are close (5 miles from) their office and I thought that I would now use them! And what does that matter? What if I had just moved to this location? The add does not say only good to existing customers who have used us exclusively for the last umpteen years! Then he said I was making a "ruckus" over the add, which he then said he did not give permission to the paper to run. So here's how I see it. You run an add. You approve the copy text for the add. Then you won't honor the add. You don't put "some exclusions may apply" on the add. You don't say for existing customers only. You don't say for customers who have been loyal for the past so many years. You don't say farm calls are excluded. You don't say for horse owners who trailer to the clinic. You find every reason NOT to HONOR the add. I certainly would pay the farm call but would expect 30% off of my vaccines and annual exam. These people are unethical. This is the very epitome of false advertising. I have a photo of the add but have no way of submitting it here on your website. I surely will provide it to whomever would like it.

Update: I called today(January and was told I am no longer allowed at alpine and they will not refill and of my pets medicationI am hurt that they are acting like this is my faultI will be fileing a suit against them if anyone would like to join I'm pretty pissed right now about the fact that I took my baby to alpine animal hospital to get her teeth pulled on October 5th and almost a month later I'm still treating this horrible thermal burn on her back ?? at 12:00pm Oct5th I picked my girl up from the vet, she had a dental procedure doneI got home and noticed that her back was really tender and had some kind of fluid under the skinI called the vet and they said sometimes dogs are sore after surgeryokay makes sense After about days her back opened and had infection and huge lesions, when I went in and they said it looked like a thermal burn from the lights they use "never admitted to doing it and never gave me an apology" they did do check ups on her for
