It was a pleasure speaking with you earlierAs promised, here is the response from the complaintWe would like to add that we have been in business for years and
have not had one complaint out of hundreds of visitors to the Sedamsville Rectory. We also allow several events each year and have never had any issues whatsoever.
That being saidThe customer you are referring to did pay $for a private investigation at the Rectory and we did know about the event she was promotingIf you view the documentation attached, you will see the reason she cancelled the event was because she was not selling ticketsTickets sales are not our issueWe rent the building out for parainvestigations and or eventsWe do not promise ticket sales, nor do we promise any paraactivity.
In regards to her response on the Rectory having demonic activityThe Sedamsville Rectory has been featured on numerous national paratelevision shows about its possibly Demonic activity including Ghost Adventures, Ghost Adventures: Aftershock (*** ***), My Ghost Story (***) and Haunted Collector (*** ***)It was also noted as one of the most haunted locations in America from "The *** ***" as well as one of Chicago's top psychicsThis is why investigators come to the RectoryIt is KNOWN for its possible demonic Activity.She claimed later in her emails that she had no idea about Sedamsville Rectory "dark energy." She had to visit the website to book her event. The emails sent to her went into length about the Sedamsville RectoryAdditionally, our website covers the history of the area and the building, as well as our own personal experiences and those of others. There is even a blog dating back several years documenting all the events and experiences at the rectoryAs far as rescheduling her eventWe let her reschedule when she requested itAgain, she did not sell tickets and requested a refundWe did inform her that we do not offer refunds, but would let her reschedule againThe reality of the situation is that we have let her reschedule again, which cost us $600.00, because she did not show up for the 2nd timeWeekends at the Rectory are our busiest times, by not showing up, she cost us $600.00, We could have kept those dates open for another group or event.
This same customer had two people that booked her event show up at the Rectory from Frankfort, KY over a miles away and did not even have the courtesy to inform her own customers that she had cancelled her event (see documentation.) We offered them a free night because of the bad business practices from the individual that filed this complaint about the RectoryI personally offered to let her reschedule for a third timeAt this point, I found out that she was posting very negative and nasty things about the Rectory and us personally on Social Media and I decided enough was enoughI declined allowing her to reschedule for a third time.
We feel we have done everything possible to accommodate herShe cancelled due to low or no ticket sales, we let her reschedule her event at OUR expense costing us $that we could have rebookedOnce she rescheduled and did not show for the 2nd time, we feel that we went beyond our obligations to her and feel that it has been completely resolved on our endWe cannot be held accountable for another company's bad business practices, nor her failure to research a venue and inability to generate ticket salesThe Sedamsville Rectory has not had one complaint in years.
