The roofer has refused to see us after we paid $*** for a roof repair that didn't work. My wife has waited 10 hours over 5 separate occassions.
On 12/17/19 we paid the roofer $*** to repair a leak in our topmost roof. The house leaked after a storm on January 12. My wife subsequently called the roofer, and he agreed to see us (but never showed) on 1/14, 1/22, 1/23, 1/25, and 1/28. He is now not even answering our calls. My wife has wasted over 10+ hours waiting for someone to show now. We've been more than patient, and now we'd like someone to intervene.

Desired Outcome

We realize that roof leaks are difficult to resolve, but the lack of professionalism, common courtesy, and business ethics by this company is beyond the pale. HOWEVER, we would still like someone to re-evaluate our roof and see what can be done to stop the leaks. We would like for someone to actually SHOW UP this time.

Customer called to set up an appointment to look at another roof. I explained to her I was having truck issues and I would be out towards the end of the week. I kept in communication with her during the wait.She did not want me to send a sales consultant out it had to be me.
When I was able to finally stop by.
Customer did not have a leak on area repaired on roroof. Water was coming in from a glass window.
She used the excuse of a leak to get me out quicker. Bid for other roof has been given to customer, waiting for response.

The response contains multiple inaccuracies. The business did NOT keep in touch with us, and in fact refused to answer the phone, or return calls when we were able to leave messages. The person only contacted us after we had filed a complaint with you. The leak was definitely NOT an "excuse" to be seen quicker; that characterization is, frankly, insulting (we waited 5 times for someone to come out, as we wrote in the original complaint). We obviously will not be conducting further business with this company, as we don't respect their business practices. We are not willing to call this a satisfactory conclusion, but we also don't require further action.

It rained and all the sudden I noticed my roof had started leaking. I called Selah Roofing and Calvin made an appointment with me and showed up on time. First sign I called the right company. Calvin quickly assessed my issue and gave me a great and fair price. Second sign I picked the right company. Calvin scheduled the needed repair work and he and his team showed up before the date and fixed the whole thing. Third sign I picked best company.

I am so pleased with the entire process and highly recommend Calvin and Selah Roofing for all your roofing needs!

I have worked in the construction industry for quite some time. My father-in-law was a general contractor for many years. But you know the old adage, a roofers house is the last one to get done. My wife forced me to consider our options and we found Selah Roofing to be our best choice. We found Selah roofing while I was working at another company that does Roofing. To chose them over current employer I believe speaks volume. These guys do Top Notch work, and are a Christian company with values. Most importantly they gave me a fair price, less than what my employer was going to charge me with employee rates.

Our condo HOA decided to re-roof all of our units (13 units altogether) and they hired this company to do the work.

Did they do a good job? Probably, but I am not a roofer so I don't know. Was the job finished in a decent amount of time? I think so.

Here's the bad part.

1) They work from 7am to about 4pm. Pretty much right at 7am they have their big trash trucks blocking our driveway making it hard for some to leave for work. Not real bad, but they didn't even let us know this was going to happen.

2) The workers are supposed to cleanup everyday after they are done. There was trash absolutely everywhere. Not only from the roofing materials, but drink bottles and food wrappers. They do use a leaf blower around the perimeter, but leave these bottles and wrappers behind. They are in obvious plain sight so I know it wasn't accidentally missed.

3) They left our satellite dish hanging from the roof blocking our front door. (They do not put it back after they are done and DirecTv charges $100 to reinstall it.)

4) All of our units have fenced in patios and little gardens. They absolutely demolished our garden. Broken branches everywhere and trash/nails everywhere.

On our patio area I picked up nearly 50 nails, wood chips, big pieces of old roofing. 1 of the 5 days they worked on our unit, they put nets over our plants and a tarp over the patio area. Why didn't they do this everyday? On one of the days they failed to put the tarp up, I stretched out my sun shade over the fence to stop all the mess from getting in our patio area. For the most part stopped all the debris from getting onto my patio, but at the end of the day they just left it on top of my sun shade which nearly broke. I knocked it all off onto the walkway and they didn't even clean it up for 2 days.

5) This one really gets me mad. July 5th my Wife called them in the morning asking if they were going to work that day. They did not work on July 2nd or 3rd (Monday and Tuesday) so we wanted to verify. They said they were ONLY going to drop off materials on the roof so they can work the following day. The crane came that afternoon and started putting supplies on the roof. Then all of a sudden, I start seeing all kinds of trash and debris falling into my patio and directly into my koi pond. I did not have it covered since they said they were NOT going to be working that day. I cleaned it out as best as I could, but in 2 days they all died.

6) After the job was completed, they left a pile of trash.

This is just my experience with this company. Yours may be different, but I will never hire them for any job.
