I would have previously recommended this dealership, but after the way I was treated today, I will never go to them again for anythingTheir service department has no record of my extended warranty so I had to track it down myself even though the car was purchased at their dealership After speaking with the warranty department (not part of Holly Kia), I was advised that I could receive a refund of my GAP insurance premium because of paying off my car earlyI ended up speaking with the GM of new car sales who for some reason immediately had an attitude with meMaybe he was having a bad day, but whatever the reason he had an attitude the whole conversationHe even hung up on meWhen I called back, he lied and told me that I had hung up on him This is for the Felton branch

After speaking with the warranty department (not part of Holly Kia), I was advised that I could receive a refund of my GAP insurance premium because of paying off my car early. I ended up speaking with the GM of new car sales who for some reason immediately had an attitude with me. Maybe he was having a bad day, but whatever the reason he had an attitude the whole conversation. He even hung up on me. When I called back, he lied and told me that I had hung up on him.

Review: So many issues with the purchase our new car from Holly Kia, not sure where to begin so here we go....May 2, 2015 my husband and I went to JUST look at traded in our 2009 Acura. We decided to stop in at Holly Kia Selbyville DE. [redacted] the sales person was super nice and showed us an Optima that we then test drove for only 5 minutes. He was helpful and nice but definitely wanted a sale from us that day. [redacted] didn't have the vehicle on the lot we wanted so he located one from another dealer and we agreed to signed finance papers and take a loaner car until new car was delivered to Holly Kia. Before signing financing papers we made it very clear to [redacted] we did not want to be financed through [redacted] dealer services. He assured us they would fiancé through them when we signed papers we were never shown our fiancé rate, credit score, or who we would be financed through and the person doing the financing was just a temp for that day. Big red flag but [redacted] had us so wrapped up talking we didn't realize any of that. [redacted] took our tags off of our Acura gave us a loaner car for 5 days until new car was to be delivered to Holly Kia Selbyville. We left with a loaner car and week later he called and said new car had arrived. I went back in to pick up new car and told [redacted] I wasn't really happy with the loaner Optima and the way it drove and wasn't sure we wanted to buy it after all. He was nice gave me many other options but I still felt guilty and didn't want to complicate the situation so agreed to just take the new Optima. I left Holly with new car and definitely feeling major buyers recourse. About 5 days later we started getting calls from my old car loan company saying the loan was past due. We explained that the car had been traded back on May 2nd and Holly Kia should have paid off the loan by now. We called Holly Kia about the situation and yes they had yet to pay off our old car loan, finance guy thought they had paid it bit realized it wasn't. At that moment I noticed on the paper work a small line stating that they had financed us through [redacted] Dealer services on our new Optima. I was very upset to say the least and immediately asked for the GM, [redacted]. We explained too her we specifically asked not to have that company finance our new car and that that her finance department had yet to pay off our old car loan! I also asked her at that moment if we could just return the optima, get our Acura back or get something else since our car loan had not been paid as of that moment. She flat out "no" we would have to trade it in because it was past 48hors. We had the car for only 14 days at that point, they put us with a finance company we did not want and never paid off our loan. I also think our Acura had been sold to so some else at that point too. Anyway, she was more then happy to switch our financing to Kia which ironically gave us 0.0 percent financing unlike the other company they gave us financing through charging us 2.9 percent and longer loan obligation. Holly Kia was trying to scam us from the beginning with their in house financing company. A few days later they switched our financing to Holly Kia and we thought ok well guess we just need to be happy with car and at least they gave us a better financing company. Well, the nightmare continues Holly Kia once again didn't pay off our Acura loan from past financing company, our old car had been in their possession for over 30days at this point. We were told our credit had been banged and Holly Kia still had not paid off our old car loan. We contacted [redacted] and Financing guy again explained situation and they said we will rectify it. At that point I said "I now really want to return this New Car since we've had nothing but trouble since day one" Ashely didn't care and she said we were stuck with car as well as the rude finance guy who had also said he couldn't do anything either and rudely talked to my husband about financing options. The fiancé guy was by far the rudest nastiest person in the entire dealership! Fast forward another last few weeks we've tried several times to contact the owner of Holly Kia, Jim, about our horrible buying experience with Holly Kia. I tried once more today and he still hasn't taken the time to call and rectify anything. This buying experience has been the longest most difficult and unprofessional situation I've ever encountered.Desired Settlement: To return Vehicle put us in a car we like, financing we want and correct our credit report!

Review: Last year, I drove my 2008 Kia Spectra to Holly Kia in Felton, Delaware to receive brake service to my rear brakes. Around May, 2014, I drove to Felton, Delaware to receive oil and lube service along with brake service check to my front brakes. Two weeks later, I drove to Felton, Delaware to receive brake service to my front brakes. The manager, Richard Marder, informed me that the maintenance man forgot to do the walk around and they discovered that my rear brakes were very low. Immediately, I informed him that I didn't have the money to replace the rear brakes. Again, he informed me that everything would be alright and they would take care of it at no charge to me. After the service was finished, he informed me what they did and my cost. With this in mind, [redacted] informed me that there was transmission fluid where the brake fluid goes. Surprisingly and astonished, I informed him that this company is the only company to deal with my car. Three days later, around 4:30 pm, I drove to [redacted], which is located in Seaford, Delaware to return my old caliper for $60.00 returnable fee. However, when I turned right on [redacted], I had to pull off the road, because I heard a clicking sound. Immediately, I called my mom on my cellphone and explained what happened. Without a doubt, she drove to assist me with my car. As a result, I had to call Mr. [redacted] from Ridgely, Maryland to tow my car to Holly Kia in Felton and the company had to pay the tow cost $100.00. Around two to three weeks later, after work, I started to have acceleration problems when I was driving around 50 mph and the car felt like it wanted to stall in the road. Next, I started to smell a strong burning odor from inside of my air vents. The smell was so strong, I got nauseated and I had to pull off the road. When I got out of the car and walked in front of the grill, I smelled a strong burning odor. Again, I called Holly Kia in Felton, Delaware to check the problem, because I thought it was my caliper sticking and I informed [redacted] that no lights came on in the car. [redacted] said that he drove my car at 40 mph and 50 mph; however, he did not have any problems nor did he smell anything. His suggestion was that if I had the a/c on or trash burning in somebody's yard, that this was the smell problem. One week later, Saturday around 2:20 pm, I drove my son, [redacted], to work and he experienced a strong burning odor, which made him nauseated. Immediately, I asked [redacted] does this smell like trash burning in somebody's yard and he said no. Then, he said that I needed to call Holly Kia again to check the problem. I informed [redacted] that they are not going to do anything about it, but send me home. At the urging of my son, I called Holly Kia in Felton and informed [redacted] that my son experienced the same things I explained about my car. This time, [redacted] had me drive my car with him as the passenger. Again, we did not have any problems nor did we smell anything. One week and a half later, I drove to the Denton Library, because it closed at 3 pm. Surprisingly, I heard something dragging underneath my car. When I parked my car, I checked under the rear, but I didn't see anything. Next, I checked under the front, but I didn't see anything. Afterward, I checked under the hood, but I didn't see anything. Again, I called Holly Kia in Felton, Delaware to check the problem. When I drove there, [redacted] informed me that this problem came from the transmission fluid where the brake fluid goes, which messed up all the brake service that was done and his manager said that they were not fixing the problems unless I paid for them. Curiously, I asked how much and he replied with $18,000.00 to repair everything. My response was no, because this is not my fault that his maintenance man caused my car to need additional repairs. His response to that was to be careful, because my brakes will no longer work. My car is getting worst and I am living on borrowed time, because they refuse to repair the damage they caused to my car.Desired Settlement: This is my first experience with another car dealership, because I have been used to Ford cars. They could have my car, I would like the money I paid on this car. For reason,so I could buy a Ford car.

Review: we bought a 2014 brand new kia forta on 7/31/2013.when we went in there I had a hundia sonta to trade in .so we looked at the cars on the lot. bob our sales man showed my daughter a car and told her it was going to b in her price rang .so she did a test drive in the car .she did like it because she wanted to get out of the hundia sonta and was told they were going to pay her car off .so they asked us what we wanted and I told them if they paid the hundia sonta off and get the payment under 350 we would sign the papers , and off course that is what they said they would do for us .they asked me if they got the payment to 350.00 and paid my other car off would I sign today .so that's what they told me they had done .then after the papers were signed then we find out what truly happened with the car. first my daughter finds out there is no key pad to lock or unlock the doors, and that's a safety issue with us .and there in no automatic lights on the car ,and the car is just not what she really wanted .so we called and asked if there is anything they could do to fix these little issues to make it safer for her.we were told that is what we bought and have to deal with it .but mind u they never went over the car with my daughter not even once. she was trying to get a different car and when they told us they could her out of that other car and pay her car off and get her payment to where we wanted it she jumped on it .so I think they turley took advantage of her .so I told her to go look at a different car lot and see if any body could trade it for her.and that is when we find out what they did to us .our paperwork shows that they did not pay her car off like they told us they had did ,it shows that they rolled in 3412.69 on this new car .and charged me for a gap insurance 750.00 that they never asked if we wanted it and a secure guard 350.00 they never even breathe a word of,but charged me for this stuff .and when I called them about this they coulnt answer any of my question ,they kept passing me onDesired Settlement: what I would really want is them to take this car bac,but I don't think that will happen.so I want them to fix these papers to wear all of these charges are not on the contract.I want them to do what they told us they did.to pay off my other car and not rolled in any money on the new car.I would hav not sigh that contract if we knew they was going to b money rolled in the new car ....they r crooks .... so watch how u deal with them .

Review: On January 24,2015, I went to Holly Kia in Selbyville, DE and met with the salesman [redacted] who had contacted me after I completed an online credit application. We completed the information necessary and I test drove a car I decided to purchase. It is a 2010 Chevy Impala. I had made plans with Mr [redacted] to pick the car up on that Monday. He told me it would be ready. It was not. It had not been serviced, detailed, or had necessary repairs made to it concerning a check engine light. I took the car that day because I needed the transportation. I contacted Mr Krzewski about the issues. In the meantime, along with the check engine light still being on, I discovered the passenger side mirror was broken. It took over a week for them to repair my car. At first, they refused to repair the mirror, claiming it happened after I drove it off the light. But the detailer noticed it when he detailed the car and that was before I took possession of the car. Finally, when the necessary repairs had been completed so that I could have it inspected in Maryland, I was told by the inspection station that the car had four flat spotted tires. So, now, I have to spend over $700 to replace the tires on this car. The car itself is a very nice vehicle, otherwise I would have taken it back. But I have had nothing but issues with the personnel. As of April 22, although the car was inspected and papers returned to Selbyville Holly Kia, I still do not have my Maryland tags for this vehicle.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Selbyville Holly Kia compensate me for 4 new tires for this vehicle with a tire dealer of my choosing. I am also requesting compensation for the delays and aggravation I have experienced while dealing with Selbyville Holly Kia.

Review: I purchased a minivan from Holly Kia and within a few days it broke down in the street. I had to get to work early Monday morning so I rented a car on Sunday. I called Holly Kia and told them that they basically sold me a lemon and I needed it repaired. I also explained that I rented a car to get me back and forth to work until the minivan gets fixed. They came to my house and towed it away to their location in Felton. I called everyday to check on the status of the van and without success. I spoke to one person who told me that they were aware of the situation and they know that I have a rental and they will notify me when done. Day six I finally called and ask to speak to the manager who told me to take the rental back and come and get the van. I did exactly what he said. I went in and the manager told Me that he is only paying for half of the rental and that things do happen vehicles. So I said to him that I only owned the car for a few days he said he doesn't care the conversation is over and that if I keep trying to explain anything else he will not pay anything. I asked if this is the way he treats customers he said yes and I am not paying for any of the rental. I finally begged him and said ok then I will accept the first offer(Him paying for only half). He said he will mail me the check as soon as it is convenient to him.And that I should get away now. I went around the back area and I wept. He passed me by several Times without showing any remorse everyone walked by just looked and said nothing. (This guy goes by the name [redacted]) it seems like everyone is scared of him. The service guy gave me the Minivan keys and I drove away sobbing uncontrollable and was very embarrassed. Less than a mile up the street the vehicle malfunctioned again, before it stopped I manage to turn around I brought it back to their parking lot. I went inside and said the vehicle is still not fixed after 6 days. The [redacted] did not even look at me. One gentleman from the service area said he was going to help me because he felt sorry for me. He gave me a car from the lot to drive. Home and said he was going to try to fix it the next day. I think that I was given a minivan that was not serviced and has a lot of issues I am stuck paying $500 a month for an unreliable vehicle that broke down in less than a week. To make matters worst the sales manager is very rude, mean and have no respect for anyone. I need help and advice urgently.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for my rental in full and a reliable vehicle. An apology and complimentary gifts. This sales manager [redacted] needs to be reprimanded or fired

At one point I would've suggested purchasing from Selbyville Holly Kia, now I would like to say to anyone thinking of doing business with them, just don't. Don't do it. Selbyville Holly Kia fails to uphold promises they make to their customers that they claim they "care so much about". Don't make a promise you can't keep, certainly don't advertise a promise to a customer you can't keep. This just screams bad business. They want your business and once they've gotten it customer service and respect are out the window. What they have done, or a lack of what they've done that is promised by not only their advertising, but also on their very own website, is CONSUMER FRAUD in the state of Delaware. In the process of speaking with Delaware Attorney Generals office regarding this issue.
