Seldon Construction & Septic System

Seldon Construction performed unprofessional,shoddy repairs on my property and have caused more damages to the home with unskilled/unprofessional workers. Seldon construction is taking advantage of elderly homeowners and not completing the project outlined by [redacted] Seldon Construction ask for additional monies from homeowners for repairs the insurance contract already paid for. Business Response Dear Sir or Madam:First let me start by saying, my company has been in business for 19 years plus and we was hired to do repairs on the home located @[redacted] Rd. in[redacted], MS as well as roof, drywall in certain area of the home. No where in the sign contract states anything about painting. My company first bid for this job was over $14,000.00 dollars but due to homeowner insurance would pay for certain things, we went in and revised the contract to do the things listed above. In reference to the roof; we were told there was only one layers of shingles on the roof, once the job was started there were in fact three layers. The contract states that we would replace all damage decking on roof, and we did. But it wasn't until we remove all the shingles we notice the rafter was rotten as well it was then we inform the homeowner that rafter needed to be replace. We contacted homeowner insurance adjuster and he was ask to come back out and look at the rafter trying to get extra monies to pay for rafter, insurance adjuster inform us that homeowner policy does not cover and damage wood, therefore the cost was left up to homeowner. The picture that was sent is located in the kitchen where and old chandelier use to hang; when we were removing it we noticed that the wiring was improperly wired. Made homeowner aware that we were going to rewire at no cost to her so the said area would be wired correct. And as you can see in the picture hangs a different chandelier that was given to the homeowner at no extra cost to her. The holes were there because the base of the old one was larger than the base of the new chandelier, I then sent my dry walls guy back to fix the holes around the chandelier, in fact they were fixed before the homeowner paid the last draw. So as you can see at NO time was my company ever trying to take advantage of the elderly, as was stated in the complaint. My company went over and beyond to try to complete the job in a timely manner as well as inform the homeowner step by step of the job. We also insulated wall that were not insulated and nor was it in the sign contract. Because it was and elderly lady my company did extras things at no extra charge. Therefore I hope Revdex.com can see that my company in no way was negligent, tried to take advantage of, or did shoddy work as was describe in the complaint with this homeowner. I've attached a photo copy of the finished ceiling around the chandelier, and will provided a copy of the sign contract if needed. Thanks you for you prompt attention in this matter.
