Thank you for addressing this complaint with us.  First of all, the price on the [redacted] was 13,500 so we are not clear as to how [redacted] arrived at a price of $15,500.  We actually...

have the Bill of Sale to confirm our price as stated.  In addition, [redacted] complaint of issues with the vehicle did not surface until roughly early March of this year.  In addition, [redacted] did an inspection on the vehicle and the problems described by [redacted] were not discovered.  That seemed rather unusual.

Furthermore, the issues pertaining to airbags and other items that [redacted] described were not mentioned or identified at the time of purchase or within a week after the sale.  If in fact that there were so many complaints about the vehicle, why did it take this long to for the issues to be addressed?  Also, [redacted] indicated to us upon test drive of the vehicle that he would have his mechanic inspect the car before purchase.  His mechanic reviewed the vehicle as he stated and told him to purchase the vehicle.  Now it is more than six months later that these issues and concern have been submitted to the Revdex.com by [redacted].  [redacted] did not purchase a warranty on the vehicle and the vehicle was sold as is.

after completing the original job the homeowner had water coming in through his garage door because his garage sits lower than the driveway. When we originally replaced the section of the driveway that we removed when waterproofing the house  we put it back to the original height to be...

level with the rest of the driveway. Homeowner wasn't happy with the way the water was coming into the garage so we did go back out remove that section and replaced it again to slope it away from the garage as much as we could without making it  Unlevel with the existing driveway but he is still getting water I spoke with him on  June 8  and made arrangements to go back out next week and remove it once  again and will slope it away from the garage which will make it unlevel to the original driveway but this is what the homeowner wants to keep the water from going in that corner of the garage this will all be done  within the next two weeks to close this out

[redacted] purchased a [redacted] from Imperial Auto in December of 2013.  She was concerned about the last oil change so we agreed to an oil change at the maximum cost of $[redacted].  The average oil change...

on that car is roughly $34.00 to $38.00. Considering that she lived at least 45 minutes away from our location, I suggested to have and oil change there and reminded her that the amount cannot exceed the $[redacted] that we both agreed to.

Upon completion of the oil change (which [redacted] never notified us of the amount exceeding the limit before the work was completed) [redacted] said the amount was $85.51.  I immediately inquired why the cost was so expensive and where was this vehicle serviced.  She did not have an answer as to the high cost and was reluctant to disclose the name of the facility that performed the service.  I continued to ask about the amount and if it was possible to talk with the [redacted] of the facility that performed the Oil Change. Finally [redacted] said it was [redacted] and the [redacted] name is [redacted].

I called [redacted] and spoke to [redacted] who said the reason the oil change was that amount is because he used synthetic oil instead of regular oil.  I immediately called [redacted] and inquired what is the required oil specification. [redacted] indicated that Synthetic Oil is not required on that car.  I informed [redacted] of the manufacturer's requirement as stated from a registered [redacted] Dealership and he was extremely rude, demanded that the payment must be made and hung up the phone.  It is ironic that [redacted] is more of an expert on [redacted] and their cars than [redacted] itself (who actually makes the vehicle).  Considering that [redacted] and the [redacted] Team was not knowledgeable of the requirements stated by [redacted] is probably the reason [redacted] was overcharged!

It seems to me that [redacted] position was to price hike the oil change and have someone incur the cost.  It is unfortunate that [redacted] agreed to that high amount with [redacted] without checking the cost.  Our position is the same now as it was in the beginning which is $[redacted] maximum on the oil change.

This is in response to complaint ID.#[redacted]• [redacted]
is  correct that I purchased a vehicle ([redacted]) from
Imperial Auto in December of 2013. Typically, I had found
when purchasing a pre-owned vehicle that the [redacted] would
get all provisional work concerning the vehicle prior to
making it available for sale. In this case it was not, so he
is
correct – I did inquire about it. [redacted] is absolutely
incorrect in saying that we agreed that the maximum amount
of the oil change was to be $40.00. How could I have agreed
to
something that I was never made aware of? No such
conversation occurred. Just for information -my prior
vehicle
(which was the same make and model but a 2005 and didn't
require synthetic oil) cost upwards of $60.00 so why would I
have even agreed to $40.00 if the conversation did exist.
Again, he never made any stipulations as to cost or anything
else with regard to the oil change. The only thing he said
to
me (and I quote) is - "we will reimburse you for the
oil
change." Therefore, naturally I would not think to call
him
prior to the oil change, what would have possibly been my
reason? As I explained to [redacted] I had no possible
reason
to question the knowledge of one the country's premier oil
change companies. It would have never occurred to me that
there would have been a problem with something that seemed
less than insignificant to me. [redacted] was also
incorrect
in his statement that "she was reluctant to disclose
the name
of the facility that performed the oil change." That is
ludicrous
- not only did I send [redacted] the original receipt and
a detailed letter of explanation in the mail (from [redacted])
prior to speaking to him via phone, but I made reference to
it
as soon as I called him to follow up. What possible reason
could I have had to be reluctant about giving him the name
of
the company? He was also incorrect in saying that he asked
if
it was possible to talk with the manager. Being that he
seemed to want to debate with me I thought it prudent to let
the [redacted] of [redacted] explain. I called [redacted]
myself
and inquired about the [redacted] and asked the [redacted] to call
him. I explained to [redacted] that I did not wish to be
nor
should I have to be in the middle of a debate concerning the
technical aspects of the vehicle. My only concern was having
my out of my pocket expenses be reimbursed - as he agreed to
do. In reference to his statement about [redacted] (from
[redacted]) being rude -I wasn't privy to the conversation
between them, but I am honestly more inclined to believe**.
[redacted] because the two times I talked to him he was very
sincere and even-tempered. Of the upwards of 4 times I
talked
to [redacted] concerning this matter he was agitated,
argumentative and very rude. In regard to his statement that
"it is unfortunate that I agreed to that high amount
with[redacted]
[redacted] without checking the cost." How and why would I
have
done such a thing? Check the cost?? Why would it have
possibly crossed my mind to get permission when there were
no stipulations in the first place? And furthermore, because
I
assumed this was a legitimate business it certainly would
have
never occurred to me that this would have been a problem,
especially when just 4 months prior I spent $11,842.30 at
his place of business. He didn't seem to have any agitation prior
to the point of sale. If he had given me any stipulation, if
I had
agreed to it (which is not likely for the reason stated
above
with reference to my previous vehicle) I certainly would
have
complied. I don't know why [redacted] feels it is
necessary
to be dishonest - maybe he is having financial problems with
his business. But, I feel at this point I deserve
compensation
for pain and suffering as well. He has been uncooperative
concerning this matter for no less than 6 weeks during which
I
have dealt with two hospitalizations and 3 surgeries (this
can
be documented). During the process I have had to endure the
stress of dealing with him and his unnecessary withholding
of
the money in which I am rightfully due and that he agreed to
reimburse. Medications and hospitalizations are very costly
and I am in need of my money. I feel that this issue could
have
altogether been avoided if he had changed the oil on this
vehicle prior to making it available for sale - like most
car lots.
Therefore, I am most certainly not satisfied with his reply.
It is
totally unacceptable to me. At this point, it is more about
the
principle than the money. It is reprehensible to me that a
business with whom I have spent this amount of money would
not only show zero concern about addressing my issue, but
have told several lies in the process. It is perfectly fine
that his
position is the same -that's his prerogative but it is my
sole
purpose to pursue this issue until "I" get a
satisfactory result.

Review: The vehicle was missing a hood latch release that had not been disclosed until after it was purchased. The photos of the vehicle shows that it had a hood latch release on the left side panel of the driver's door. The salesperson claimed that he did not know of this issue and offered to repair it at their facility. I declined their offer due to unethical business practices that were reported by the Revdex.com.

Review: I purchased a used car from Select Auto Sales and traded in a [redacted] of which I was still paying. I was told that they would pay off my trade in within 10 days, as my next payment was due then. Select Auto Sales has never contacted [redacted] Financial or made a single payment on the car I traded in. So, I am being charged for both my new vehicle and the trade in even though I do not have the trade in. My credit is being ruined! I have called them multiple times and each time I receive a new excuse. I have heard that the payment is in the mail, it has been sent "overnight delivery", and even been treated very rudely and had the phone slammed down on me! I am currently seeking some legal counsel.Desired Settlement: I want the trade in to be paid in full so I can continue having my excellent credit report.

Review: I went to the dealership to purchase a vehicle only when I get there they sold the vehicle I was interested in so I was showing another vehicle I test drove the vehicle and did all the paperwork took the vehicle home well 2 and half weeks later I receive a saying that they were not able to get the vehicle financed so I took the car back to the dealership. I called my bank and informed them of a stop payment that I needed to do because I did not receive the merchandise, my bank got in touch with dealership and the dealership said that the deposit was non refundable. I am still going thru a dispute process with my bank to get my money back. I don't think I owe them anything after all the bs I was put through it is not my fault that they don't know how to conduct business I have never seen anything like it. I turned the vehicle back into them and went to another dealership who I would recommend to anyone with no problems and got a better deal. ALSO I HAD TO KEEP SUBMITTING THE SAME DOCUMENTS TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WITH THIS OTHER DEALERSHIP I SENT MY DOCUMENTS ONE TIME AND WAS CONTACTED ABOUT 2 HOURS LATER TO ASK WHEN WOULD I BE COMING TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE THERE WAS NO SCAMS OR GIMMICKS THEY WERE STRAIGHT UP FRONT WITH EVERYTHINGDesired Settlement: I would like for them to learn how to get there ducks in order, there T"s crossed and I's dotted because I don't see them being in business long with the rate of there service.

Regards,

Review: On 6 June, 2013 My son purchased a [redacted] from Select Auto Sales in Fredericksburg. At that that time we also purchased an extended warranty for $1537.50 that they rcommended ([redacted]). On 18 July, 2013 My son was driving to work when the driveshaft came off causing him to emergency pull over and stop. We had vehicle towed to the local [redacted] who after inspection stated there was signifcant damage to driveshaft/transfer case and others ($4,872.71). They attempted to contact the warranty company only to find out that there was not an active policy for our vehicle. I contacted Select Auto to question this, after a few days they told me to have vehicle towed to their [redacted] dealership to be repaired, in order to do this I had to pay a $100 diagnostic fee to the [redacted]. After numerous calls I was finally told the truck was fixed and ready to be picked up (was at theri shop for a week), I made arrangements to pick up the truck on Monday August 5th. Not even 10 miles down the road, I heard metal banging noises and the vehicle was smoking quite alot from underneath the vehicle. I called the dealership again to explain my frustration and to see if they could at least for time being have the vehicle towed to my house as it is on side of the road. They informed me they would, however that never happened. Emails and calls to the dealership are not being responded to, after almost 3 weeks my son still does not have a driveable truck due to negligence on behalf of the staff in ensuring the warranty coverage we PAID for was active. At this time my son has no reliable transportation (vehicle still on roadside)and calls/emails are not being responded to by the dealership.Desired Settlement: I would like for Select Auto Sales to pay for an authorized [redacted] to repair the vehicle they sold me. If that is not acceptable, then I would like them to refund my son's $11,711.85 purchase price and take the truck back.

Response:

After speaking with [redacted] from the company on 9/16/13 he stated the customer was refunded and the car was taken back.

Review: hi, just purchased a vehicle from this company in October, by November it was not working. My suspension fell, pullies no good, front axle broke, differential no good, and brakes and rotors no good.Desired Settlement: just want them to help fix the car. If not all, at least half, to get it back on the street,

Response:

Review: Well I bought a car which was a [redacted] for about $15,500 from this used car lot named Imperial Auto In [redacted] in November of 2013 and pretty much since the first time I took the car rite off the lot and the engine light turned on its been a nightmare and before I even bought the car [redacted] told me he would take care of any of the problems and the first day to when I got the car off the lot and the engine light turned on I called [redacted] and he told me to just bring back the car that weekend for he could send it to get fixed and I brought it back that following weekend to get fixed and they didn't do anything but erase the engine light temporarily which I found out from the mechanic told me and even his own worker. Then in the winter the car stopped working and needed to get jumped everyday to even just turn on and pretty much I went through the same process and they sold me a car knowing it wouldn't be able to pass emmisions and therefore I still cant get plates on a car I have had for 7 months so that's 7 months of temp tags, and I had to start paying out of pocket to fix the car which I put over $800, and I took the car to a mechanic which told me all the problems with the car and it had more than were disclosed to me when I bought it like it didn't have side airbags on both sides, tail lights didn't work at nighttime,4 sensors were out which I fixed, frame damage ,emergency brake was mot working, tire pressure sensors out,oil pressure gauge and windshield wipers out and pretty much a nightmare which I was told would be taken care and I was just ignored. isn't that illegal to even sell a car like that without disclosing the problems and I cant even renew my inspection sticker because it wont even passDesired Settlement: I want my full refund if possible or just even a pay off for the car

Business

Response:

Thank you for addressing this complaint with us. First of all, the price on the [redacted] was 13,500 so we are not clear as to how [redacted] arrived at a price of $15,500. We actually have the Bill of Sale to confirm our price as stated. In addition, [redacted] complaint of issues with the vehicle did not surface until roughly early March of this year. In addition, [redacted] did an inspection on the vehicle and the problems described by [redacted] were not discovered. That seemed rather unusual.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Imperial Auto and at the time of purchase I saw no indication of the last oil change so I inquired. The manager (contact person) [redacted] could not give me an answer therefore responded that they (meaning Imperial Auto) would take care of it. Being that the business is in [redacted] and I am in [redacted] gave me an option of traveling there to get the oil change done, or getting it done in [redacted] and sending the receipt for reimbursement. Circumstances didn't allow me to travel so I opted to get it done in [redacted] (as advised by [redacted]). [redacted] informed me that my car only took high end synthetic oil which would be more pricy than the standard oil change. Being that I wasn't given any other option I consented. Upon sending the receipt and a letter of explanation to Imperial Auto - no response. I phoned [redacted], he denied receiving it so I explained it again verbally. He argued with me about his displeasure with the amount. This being the case I thought it prudent that he should contact [redacted] so they could explain it. The manager of [redacted]) contacted [redacted] and explained to him what he told me as to why the oil change was a little more pricy. Shortly thereafter the manager phoned me back to let me know that [redacted] would not listen to him and was so rude that he ([redacted]) had to hang up on him. Once again I didn't get a response from Imperial so I phoned again several days later to follow up and spoke with [redacted] who was not only rude to me but non-compliant with refunding my money. His response was "$[redacted] or nothing." I couldn't comply because I paid $85.51 out of pocket. As of this date I have received zero dollars and zero cents from Imperial Auto. These things can be verified by the manager at [redacted]) and I have a copy of the receipt for the oil changeDesired Settlement: To be fully refunded the $85.51 that I paid out of pocket as was clearly agreed upon by [redacted] at Imperial Auto. I would like to have further compensation for the inconvenience of having to wait this long (over 30 days) and still haven't received my money.

Business

Response:

[redacted] purchased a [redacted] from Imperial Auto in December of 2013. She was concerned about the last oil change so we agreed to an oil change at the maximum cost of $[redacted]. The average oil change on that car is roughly $34.00 to $38.00. Considering that she lived at least 45 minutes away from our location, I suggested to have and oil change there and reminded her that the amount cannot exceed the $[redacted] that we both agreed to.
