I received your letter in the mail today in regards to Mr***I attached a copy of the emails that were exchanged between usThe first of which he sent a few days after he dropped off his gun, the second I sent him after he called me in early MarchWhen he dropped off the gun in person I
remember showing him a couple examples of stock finishes in personHe wanted to see a few more pictures and we decided I would email him some picturesWe put the gun in Queue like we do every gun we take in for gunsmithing workI did not think to send pictures of stock work a head of time until I got a phone call probably 3-weeks later as we got slammed with gunsmithing and we had our only other gunsmith walk out on us without noticeSo I would have sent him some examples once I got to it in queue because of my note on the tagInstead he called about a week before I probably would have gotten to it and I sent him pictures, I believe, the same day or next of various types of stocks and finishesI never got a response to that emailI put it on our rack in back that we have guns that are essentially in limboBy that I'm referring to stuff that we are unable to work on at the time due to several reasonsFor instance if we are waiting on a part to come in off of back order, to hear back from the manufacturer of the firearm with any information as to help diagnose a problem or in this case, If a customer is not exactly sure what type of finish he wants done on his stockNot getting a response to his email left the gun resting on the limbo rack until I gave up on hearing from him around the last week of July/First week of August where I gave the buttstock to an outside source to be refinished and the forend to be repaired and refinishedI got the buttstock back last week Thursday and I should have the forend back sometime the next week (August 22-26) once I get that back, the gun is ready to goWe ended up choosing a finish based on what type of wood and what would have been close to original for that gunAs far as communication is concerned this whole long wait would have been avoided with a simple response to my email in regards to which finish he wantedInstead it sat here for months with us not knowing what he wanted or hearing from him.If you require any thing else please let me know.*** ***
