Dear Sirs,In response to the complaint # [redacted] by [redacted] ***The vehicle purchase included a "we order" agreement to replace the windshield within days that all our work order stipulate as part of the agreement,This is to control cost as well as work being done and why the day limitation Usually if work can't be done in the day limitation due to heavy work loads or other reasons we still do work even weeks late.In this case months passed without any contact until just recently and then were told he wanted reimbursement of the $The cost he paidThe cost of replacement is only $150-our cost however the issue is more the nearly year and not at our cost of $150-estHope this helps explain our policy on "we owe" agreements and our company policy regarding any work negotiation into the vehicle purchased at the time of saleThanks again for the opportunity to explain our side of the complaint and hope this clears up this matter better Thanks again,Select Motor Auto Sales

I am rejecting this response because: To go strictly by a 'we order' piece of paper (that is not a state mandated form) vs actually doing the work that was agreed upon is fraudThe fact is they never contacted the 3rd party vendor to do the work in the first place, being that if they did we wouldn't be at this spot nowI called twice WITHIN the days AND came in person to pick up my license plates from them and each time I was ASSURED that I would be getting a call that never cameTheir intent to commit fraud is clear, by using a sheet of paper as a get out of jail free cardIf it costs them so little to make the change, why not make it right and do the right thing?If this magic 'we order' piece of paper binding from one side, it should be binding from BOTH sides as they agree to the work being done in the first placeSelf admittedly they said, they cannot place any blame on the third party vendor windshield replacement companyThey can't blame them, SINCE THEY NEVER CONTACTED THEM to make the call. It is fraud.

This is to control cost as well as work being done and why the 14 day limitation....

Usually if work can't be done in the 14 day limitation due to heavy work loads or other reasons we still do work even weeks late.In this case 10 months passed without any contact until just recently and then were told he wanted reimbursement of the $340. The cost he paid. The cost of replacement is only $150-170 our cost however the issue is more the nearly year and not at our cost of $150-170 est. Hope this helps explain our policy on "we owe" agreements and our company policy regarding any work negotiation into the vehicle purchased at the time of sale.
