[redacted] bought an 08 Volkswagen September of 2015. He has had it in for a couple of minor repairs that Select Service and Repair helped him out with. He does in fact have a 24 month 24,000 mile warranty from Assured Warranty.Just this last week end on Saturday March 25, 2017 he was in with a...

friend of his, [redacted], that he had referred to us to try to buy a vehicle. When he was here he mentioned that he had several codes that were showing on the VW but that it was running fine. He said that he thought it was a PCM (power control module). I gave him my card with a contact person at Select Repair and told him I would pay for the diagnostic to figure out what or if there was a problem. The Volkswagen has never been in an accident as far as we know. The Carfax has an incident report that involved damage to a mirror. I am attaching a link to the Carfax for his vehicle. https://[redacted]/cfm/Display_Dealer_Report.cfm?partner=FRZ_0&UID=C580471&a... would be happy to try to help [redacted]. He can contact me directly. He has my cell and office number.

On April 28th [redacted] and [redacted] purchased a 2008 BMW X5 from Select Motors the next day or day after that Mr. [redacted] called and told me that the vehicle had a leak. I told him to bring the vehicle in and we would would check it out. Having put the vehicle on a rack it was unclear if the leak...

was coming from the oil drain plug or around the pan gasket. I pulled Mr. [redacted] out into the shop to show him what we were looking at. We replaced the pan plug and put a dye in the system that reacts to ultra violet light to make any further leaks easier to detect. It turns out that the pan gasket was leaking. We arranged to have this job done and provided the [redacted]'s with a free loaner car. A pan gasket repair is an extensive job on this vehicle and required dropping the subframe. In the course of this repair my technician decided both front axles should be replaced and ordered those parts. Those were BMW factory parts and did take a week to get in to complete the job. I still provided a free loaner car for the [redacted]s while waiting for the parts. Mrs [redacted] is right in that Select Motors provides a 30 day warranty that covers limited powertrain for component failure and Select Motors would pay 50% of the parts cost and 50% of the labor cost of a covered component. Seals and gaskets are not powertrain component failure on any limited powertrain warranty. We provided the repairs and provided the loaner vehicle at no charge to the [redacted]'s. After these repairs were completed a few days later Mr. [redacted] contacted me and said that Mrs. [redacted] had a shift issue with the vehicle and there was another leak. The vehicle was at a friend of theirs shop Complete Auto Repair and they provided a laundry list of additional things that their friend had found on the vehicle. When I talked to their contact at the shop I told them that I would need to get the vehicle back to verify what needed to be done but that I was not just going to send them a check blindly to perform work that mostly was not covered under our 30 day limited warranty. I offered to have the vehicle towed into our shop. The [redacted]s allegedly had this work performed at their shop. Mrs [redacted] called me a the very next day and said her vehicle was now perfect and she would be coming in to collect a check for half of the repair which was at that time about $570. I informed her that was not going to happen and she proceeded to verbally harass me and promise me that she would do whatever she could do to ruin our business and myself. I feel as though Mrs. [redacted] is using whatever influence she can to extort us out of money that is not owed to her. Mrs. [redacted]'s google account would support that as she has multiple bad reviews on other companies.  I find it dubious at best to believe that all of that work could have been performed in one day especially since part of what is being charged is a software update that was a dealer only update. Select Motors has done more than we were ever obligated to do
