Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards, *** ***

If I may respectfully correct [redacted], my name is [redacted], not [redacted]. It is surprising that [redacted] had gotten my name wrong based on the fact that I have spoken to him on several occasions over the past year and have attempted to satisfy him within reason at every turn.In the interest...

of full disclosure, I feel compelled to mention that [redacted] is currently a neighbor of [redacted], his salesperson, and had been a friend of his in the past. I am not sure of the status of that relationship at this time. The [redacted] Legacy was sold to [redacted] on 3/24/2014. This occurred several days after we had sold him a 2010 [redacted], which we allowed him to return with no obligation, based on the fact that he claimed his wife did not like the [redacted]. At the time of sale, the [redacted] Legacy had a perfectly clean accident record on [redacted], which is the equivalent of [redacted]. The accident record remains clean to this day. [redacted] is what we as dealers use to determine whether or not a vehicle has been involved in a major to moderate accident. An accident report would preclude us from being able to certify the vehicle through [redacted] Motors. We also inspect trade ins and purchases for any obvious signs of damage to the best of our ability. Many times vehicles will have paintwork of an undetermined source. This could be from a previous owner fixing a small dent, ding or scratch.[redacted] has never reported any "drive-train" issues to us in the past. The engine and transmission (drive-train) operate within factory specifications. On 5/1/2014, [redacted] mentioned that he sensed a vibration on the highway. We balanced the tires. On 5/8/2014, he mentioned that he still had a vibration, and we replaced all four tires as a matter of goodwill. On 11/13/2014, [redacted] again mentioned a vibration, this time at speeds over 70 miles an hour. We replaced two wheels at that point at no cost to him.[redacted] has since mentioned that he is hiring an attorney, and has sent an e-mail to our Internet Manager threatening to subpoena to court everybody who knew about the vehicle being wrecked. Again, there is no documented evidence that the vehicle had been in an accident. On 4/18/2015, [redacted] was in our dealership attempting to trade the [redacted] Legacy in on another car. He was not happy with the financial terms, and began threatening salesperson [redacted], and finance manager [redacted], that he was going to contact certain powerful business associates and [redacted] Business Leaders, consumer protection advocates, and planned to sue the dealership in an effort to pressure us into meeting his demands. At Joseph Cadillac [redacted], we always strive to do honest business and take care of our customers. I am confident after reviewing our selling procedures, that we sold this vehicle to [redacted] in good faith and have done everything reasonable to satisfy him.  I will not offer any further assistance. Sincerely,[redacted]General Manager

[redacted]Please accept my apologies for the delay in my response. Month end can be a very busy time for me and I wanted to carefully craft my response in accordance with your letter’s recommendations. If you research my history with the Revdex.com, you will find I have always been supportive of your...

mission, I believe in your process, and I appreciate the work that you do. We all strive for fairness in any of these situations. 1)      We do not have [redacted] on record here as owner of the 2016 Subaru in question. The vehicle belongs to a [redacted], and attempts to contact her at any point have been unsuccessful.2)      We typically do not discuss matters regarding a vehicle with people that can’t prove ownership in some fashion.3)      In this case however, in an effort to assist, we reviewed the situation, and did see issues with the paint on the vehicle. We also sent pictures to Subaru Corporate, and they were of the opinion as we were, that something had landed on the paint and caused the issue. The shape of the blemishes reflect the shape of some sort of seed pod, which can happen when a car is parked under certain trees, and the organic matter/material is not removed in a timely fashion. The degeneration of said material can damage any painted surface.4)      We had contracted with a vendor to perform the paintless dent repair on 11/14/2017. The issue with the paint was reported to us on 6/2/2017, 6.5 months later. Again, we did no actual paint work to the car in this instance. We had previously painted the hood and front right fender from an accident on 8/31/2016. The current paint issues are on all flat surfaces of the car, hood, roof, and trunk.   5)      We have used this paintless dent removal vendor on countless Subaru’s, as we have with other makes and models. We have had with no reported issues with paint after the fact.6)      The gentlemen that contacted the Revdex.com, on virtually each contact with us, from the beginning, has used abusive and inappropriate tone and language. Again, he is not the owner of the vehicle.7)      In conclusion, I will offer no further remedy or assistance in this case as I, and my experts in my body shop, accept no responsibility for any issue with the paint. We also ask that the gentlemen who contacted the Revdex.com in this matter not contact us. If there are any questions, we will gladly discuss things with [redacted], the owner of the vehicle.  Thank You,Andrew C. H[redacted] General Manager - Joseph Auto Group[redacted]
