I received your letter today of the complaint in questionI appreciate the opportunity to respond
The customer is question purchased a truck from our facility on January 8, After prepping the truck for delivery,
several issues were found to be wrong with his truck and our facility corrected those issues, which included: Replacing the clutch, repairing the A/C, fixing several air leaks, fixing an inoperable window switch, and fixing an oil pan gasket which was leakingSeveral parts needed to be ordered which required a delay in delivering the truckHowever, all of the repairs were made which our shop invoiced our sales department for and at which time the customer took possession of his truck
On February 16th, the customer reported that the oil pan gasket was leaking again so we paid for that to be fixed a second timeAfter this repair, we did not see his truck again until June 16th and after he had driven this truck nearly 40,milesHe brought the truck in complaining that it had "the same problems as before"The problem with his truck was an electrical problem with his headlights which had nothing to do with the issues that we fixed at the time of his delivery
We have bent over backwards to assist this customer with any issue that was present at the time of sale at which time he purchased this truck "AS IS, WHERE IS"Every issue the truck had prior to his taking delivery was fixed and paid for by SelecTrucksHe purchased a used truck which will have problems develop as all doHe just seems to want to have free repairs in perpetuityThe fact is, we sold him a truck that he has been operating just fine and has accumulated a lot of milesWe stood up to all issues at time of sale and have done our best to be a good business partnerFor this gentleman to state that we have purposely misled and lied about repairs in a blatant untruthI have all the shop bills and work orders to back up this statement and will willing do so
