Dear Todd,This letter is in response to your recent experience at a Shell branded station where you allege you received contaminated gasoline. This is a station supplied with motor fuel by an independent wholesale distributor, rather than by Shell directly. Shell takes great pride in the quality of its products and services. There are many safeguards in place to assure the integrity of the products at the time of the sale to the wholesaler. The wholesaler is responsible for maintaining the quality of motor fuel it sells to consumers. The dealer's records and delivery tickets confirm the fuel met our quality standards, and that there was apparently no evidence of water or contaminants in the storage tanks. All methods of review and resolution in handling this complaint have been considered final, I did not find a way in which we can offer our further assistance. Accordingly, our office considers this matter to be resolute and your file closed.We value your patronage and hope you will continue to choose Shell's quality products in the future.
