Review: On August **, 2014, I rented a storage space (9x8) from [redacted] at Storage Post, on August ** or ** and between I received a call for storage post that due to the recent rainfall, some of the units were under water and I should come in to assess my space, I went there and looked inside but because of the amount of things that was inside and as a single woman was not able to tell if the water affected my unit. A few days was again call to come in assess the space, I then decided to go in with friends and family member where I would get help to things around... .I discovered that as I reached the back of the unit there was water damages, I then went to the office to let them know that I have damages and asked for a fan and mop so I could dry out the unit I was told by [redacted] a worker that what they were doing is moving the affected units to other space so the unit would be left empty so it can be dried. I told him I wanted a smaller or the same size unit, he then told me that the only available was one that was slighty bigger but I should not worry because they would honor it at the same price,he then told me that because of all the affected units their hired help would not be able to help me transfer and the unit that have been affected would have to be emptied before I leave, we was able toto finish transferred the things with their hired help, but was told by [redacted] not to worry about the paper work since it was time to close and that I should come back in two days to do the transfer. On the morning of the two days [redacted] called me to come in and do the paper work I went into the office were the paper work was done and told that there was no additional fee and I would see a $11.61 balance on the receipt but not to worry about it on September ** I received a text that I have a past balance of $24.00 and $10.00 late payment on the past balance, I went into to the office and was told that the balance was from the transfer because it was larger than the one I had.Desired Settlement: I would like my money be refunded to me because I was lied to

Review: On August **, 2014, there was heavy rain that affected new york city and long island. The following day I received a text from Storage Post that said that the facility was closed because of power failure. I had to leave new york for a few days and while I was away the following week I received a call from storage post(August **) that a few people reported water coming into their units and they wanted me to come by and check my unit. I explained that I was away and wouldn't be back until August ** and that I would come and check then. I went by my unit on August ** and there was water damage to my things in the unit. I had to move my things to a different unit, throw things out and transfer things from wet boxes and containers and I had to throw out my mattress, a box spring, my chest of drawers and two rugs that were damaged. I was so distraught over the whole situation. I was told that after I was contacted by corporate office then I would have to come back in and fill out a claims form. I insisted that they give me the complaint/claim form right there.The management assured me that I would be reimbursed by the corporate office for the things that I lost. I tried calling the corporate office to find out about the status of my claims and I keep getting an answering machine. I tried calling the local [redacted] office and they keep giving me the run around. I do not know what to do in regards to this situation. I also pay an extra $10 each month for insurance on my unit. Shouldn't this $10 monthly fee I am paying each month go towards the damage that occurred to my unit? I have pictures of the things that were thrown out and I filled out a claim form. There was also rat droppings on my things. They took pictures of some of the water damage and I also took pictures of all that was damaged. I have not even heard from the corporate office, not even an acknowledgement that my case is in process and they are working on it. I feel like I am being given the run around,its been 2 monthsDesired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for all that I lost a total of $1400
