I'm an LEO and purchased a ballistic vest from Semforex on 11/3/17. The vest was received reasonably fast, but I was sent a woman's vest. To make a long story short, I called the company and they apologized and said the correct vest will be sent. After another 2 months of waiting and having to call them to check on the status, I canceled my order and was told I will get a refund. After multiple text, phone calls, and voicemails I was told various reasons by co-owner Sandra L why the refund was delayed. I later in started speaking with the other co-owner Mike L around May 2018. Mr. L also provided reasons for the delay and finally sent me half of my refund amount in October 2018. I was able to contact him a few times since then and was told he is working on the remaining refund amount. Currently I have sent text messages and called with no response and a full voicemail. I have given more than a fair amount of time for this to be resolved.

As an accommodation to a colleague we agreed to send a garment to *** though we had not officially begun to sell our product on the market. He filled out a size sheet with his measurements and that form was forwarded to us. A large size was sent via *** to ***. We received feedback that despite the measurements given, he needed a larger size. We prepared to have the package returned to us. However, we were informed that *** wanted to keep the product for a time to use as a sample to show to his supervisor. At some point upon speaking to ***, he advised that he was not authorized to wear any garment except the one approved by his department. When asked about making the arrangements to have the package picked up to facilitate a refund, *** informed us that he had given the full unit to another officer in another county. At the time he did not know a name or have contact information. *** or the person he gave the full ballistic system to is still in possession of the products.
Because this was a pre-sale transaction and as was explained to ***, the company cannot give a refund without the return of the product.we have tried to address this matter on a personal level and sent *** $450 of our personal funds as a good faith gesture until the used product is returned. We have also absorbed the other out of pocket expenses of more than $200 associated with this situation. Nevertheless, we will resolve this matter with ***, despite the time and complications involved.
I was told to keep the vest and show it to my Chief for possible future sales. The vest sent was for a woman and could not have been the correct measurements since it was 2 years into the 5 year lifespan. I have recorded calls and saved text messages that will debunk the previous statement made by Semforex. As previously requested of them, send me a return label for the vest and I want a set time of refund that has constantly failed to be met.
