Hi,I am Kristin N***, Director of Operations at Scott W*** Chiropractic and Sports MedicineThis response is in reference to case # *** Patient, *** ***, DOB *** was seen in our office on 10/5/for neck and shoulder painShe told our assistants and DrW*** that
she already knew what was wrong with her and was only here to get "fixed" with a manipulationShe also stated multiple times that she was a Nurse Practitioner.We are a little confused on why this particular patient is requesting a refundShe scheduled for a new patient appointment, one of our assistants did her initial intake, she saw DrW***, and received x-raysDuring her exam with DrW*** she told him she already knew what was wrong and was trying to tell DrW*** what to do to help herJust because someone says they know what is wrong with them, our doctors still need to take the necessary steps in properly diagnosing their patientsDrW*** did tell *** that he would give her treatment (muscle stimulation with a tens unit) that day and get her feeling some better but never did he say he would give her an adjustment or manipulation on that dayDrW*** and including all of our doctors do not do adjustments on the first dayThis is for the safety of the patient and to make sure our doctors have had a chance and time to look at the xrays and do the proper reportThis is normally looked at as a great way of doing thingsThe patient is requesting a refund of $** for the charge of xrays, which she had and agreed to, ad a stim pad charge, which she had and agreed toWe cannot undo what we did for the patient and the services she received, therefore she cannot get a refund for $** for over *** in services provided to herThe patient was never told she was "not allowed" to see DrW*** before she left and DrW*** called multiple times and even texted the patient to try to get the patient to understand that he couldn't just adjust her before looking at her xrays and how this was for her benefite told her we could see her later that day or first thing the next day but nothing would satisfy herWe have always been complimented for excellent customer service and we strive on it and train to provide the best possible service we can and try to please everyoneWe are very sorry that we could not please this patient even after trying to on several levelsWe cannot give services we provide away for free to make someone happyWe provide excellent service and excellent care for our patients and our community and we will continue to provide that same care we have for over years.
