Dear Revdex.com, I'm sorry MR and MRS [redacted] has a complaint about our company. We run an honest and reputable company and I don't appreciate someone calling me a liar.  Anyone that knows me knows that's not true. Anyone who wishes for me to fail and wants my company to crash isn't someone I wish to...

work for. A customer that wishes that we fail becomes a real liability to our company. MR [redacted]’s job was approved on June 24th 2016. We communicated again in August 8th 2016. I told MRS [redacted] in an email that we still planned on completing their tree work. I told her that we were still running behind due to being too hot, and then too much rain and that we were still completing emergency storm work. I did tell her that it looked like it would be later that month until we could start their work. We just had a lot more storm work than usual and storm damage jobs are completed before all other work. MR [redacted]’s job was bid to be completed in the off season. The off season is a period of time when we normally run low on work usually in mid to late summer.  This year we have been slammed with storm work so it takes us longer to get to off season jobs.  I went by and spoke to MR [redacted] the other day and discussed the work that we estimated to do for him.  I told him that we were still running behind and he told me that if we couldn't get to his work that he had another company that may do his work from a previous bid. I told MR [redacted] that if he didn't mind to please contact the other company to see if they could still do his work so that the trees would be cut before the leaves fell. No hard feelings! I also told him that if the other company couldn't or wouldn't do his work I would still do his work even If I broke even or even lost money doing so.  When I stopped by MR [redacted]'s I noticed that some of his hybrid poplar trees had lots of smaller trees growing off the root systems of his trees. I explained to him that when we grind his stumps the trees will most likely grow sprouts everywhere due to the invasive species that they are. This does concern me due to how viscous his wife’s complaint was.  What I'm saying is that no matter whether I do their work or not it will result in a complaint. There is nothing I can do to stop these trees from sprouting and they will sprout for sure.  I did talk to MR [redacted] a couple times in the last couple months and each time I explained to him that we were still running behind. Having a large volume of work doesn’t make me a liar especially since we never set a date or an exact time to start his work. I explained to MR [redacted] that we were one employee short for the last couple weeks and that was slowing us down some also. Again I apologize that we are running behind due to bad weather and a very heavy workload but that doesn’t make me a liar! Sincerely yours, Ray Etter Botetourt Tree Service ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because:A bowed wall is unacceptable. There were many bowed walls thru out the home. I am no longer waiting till spring to have my home fixed. Mike your warranty manager should not have a job there with his customer service skills. Semler Homes built a very bad home and will not stand behind their product. I would love to have another expert come in and look at the paint. I am very convinced that I could have done a better job.

To Whom It May Concern:As stated in Mr. [redacted]’ complaint “ At the end of our one year warranty I had them come out and look at two things, one was fixed perfectly fine, however our fire place was acting up so I had them look at that as well. The problem with the fire places was it decided when it wanted to work and not work so of course I had them take a look at it. When they were here the fire place turned on just fine. I asked the guy that came out that I was worried about our warranty is almost up and I would like them to look into it more then just hitting the power control. He said if it acts up again to just call them back whenever and they will look into it again.” This problem is identified as taking place in April of 2014 and nothing was heard about the problem again until August of 2016, if the problem had persisted and we were notified we would have responded at his request as he was told.  As of this time we are unaware of what part had to be replaced and what the replacement cost was. However, if it was a part that would have been covered under the one year warranty period we will honor it. Sincerely,[redacted] Semler,PresidentSemler Homes Inc.
