Review: I renewed my policy on 4/24/13. I had to put a down payment of $185. I cancelled it on 05/06/13. I had it for only 12 days and I was told my down payment was not refundable after the fact. I reviewed my contract and nowhere does it said my down payment is not refundable. $185 is a lot of money to pay for 12 days of auto insurance especially when my monthly payment is only $131.I also received a call on 5/31/13, from their billing company, saying my account is still active and is in jeopardy of going to collections. I have proof of my cancellation and receipts of my payments. I even had my new insurance company to fax over my new policyI just want the harassment to stop!Desired Settlement: I want to be accountable for 12 days of car insurance. Also, a letter from senate stating that all matters are resolved and after that, to never hear for them again!

Review: I was a customer of Senate Insurance for many years and my agent David was usually good at helping me find lower rates for insurance. In December of 2013. I bought a 2010 [redacted] and needed David's help in getting a better rate. He checked the rate and after telling me the rate. I felt that it was too high. So I called him back a few days later and told him that the rate was too high. He told me that this the rate and if I was not happy then I needed to look somewhere else. I was upset and never called back. I believe that it was very unprofessional. I disappointed because he had been a great agent all those years. Maybe he had a rough day but he never called to apologize and frankly I do not want him too. I now have [redacted] Auto Insurance and their customer service is excellent.Desired Settlement: Thhere were many rimes my insurance lasped and Senate helped me with my payments but because David did not help me I had to join another insurance company and that cost me money to be instated. If I would have kept Senate it would have not cost me that fee.
