Review: I have e-mailed Sendero twice about a problem with a product and have received no response.

I purchased the Seeing Eye GPS app for my iPhone thinking it would be a great app and work quite well. I noticed a problem and not a small one almost immediately. All the addresses for [redacted] Ct are completely incorrect. There is no such address as [redacted] Ct or [redacted] Ct. I have e-mailed Sendero twice about this issue once on the 24th of this month and again on the 27th, and I have not received a response to either e-mail. The other three GPS apps I have on my phone get this correct, and being that Seeing Eye GPS is specifically designed for the blind, this needs to be corrected.Desired Settlement: Sendero really needs to look at their map data and possibly consider changing who they get their data from. Navigone, Apple Maps, Ariande GPS, and Motion GPS Drive all get this correct. I am a bit concerned now of using this app in a new area because I do not know what is going to be right and what will be wrong.

We received your complaint to the Revdex.com. After searching thousands of emails we have received around the Seeing Eye GPS app, we did locate your inquiry. Our apologies for not responding directly to you. We get this question frequently. We had addressed this item on Twitter and on the GPS-Talk list but not specifically to you. We thought we had. Sorry about that. Feel free in the future to call if an email does not get through.

Here is what we can tell you on this topic.

Sendero licenses data from Navteq and we have no control over the specific addresses or address ranges. Users typically learn to work with the concept that GPS gets you to the vicinity of a position but not directly to the door. GPS accuracy is roughly 30 feet but can range from 10 feet to 1000 feet. This means that even if you have the address number 100% correct, this does not mean you will be directed to the precise address no matter which application you are using

Location accuracy is much more complicated than just addresses. We would be happy to email you a document called GPS Accuracy or you can find it on our web site under the support section.

Sendero is looking at other map providers. We would certainly like all types of accuracy to improve and will do our best to take advantage of all means possible to accomplish this.

I think Sendero missed this issue completely. I know GPS accuracy can vary, but this info is not even close. All the addresses are wrong for hermitage Ct. Anything above 517 does not exist on this street. They have full control over the maps they use because if information is incorrect, they can find a better provider. None of the other apps on my phone have this issue.
