I received an audible and pop up warning on my computer telling me to dial a number to have the risks that my computer had just encountered to have a Microsoft technician fix the issueI could not get rid of the warning and my computer was lockedWhen I called the number, I was skeptical of this being legit but I was assured that they would fix my computerThey did not fix it but actually put things on my computer that would allow them to access my information stored on the computerI was told I now needed to pay for the service as well as a service contract to keep my computer running smoothI wish I had not given them my CC info and I took my computer in to be looked at and repaired and it was really messed up and my computer guy thought it would take hours to fix actually took days and it cost me another $Windows itself was messed up as well as lots of spyware etcthat he found on my previously clean machineI have filed a complaint through my credit card company
