Sensible Heating and Air Conditioning Reviews (17)

Our air conditioning went out on Friday, the 4th of July. The unit is under warranty and only one company is able to fix it. This company has been impossible to get in touch with. They were unavailable all weekend and we scheduled to have a maintenance technician come out on Tuesday July 8th between noon and 2pm. When 2pm hit, and the company didn't show, we contacted them. After multiple tries and voicemails we finally reached someone who promised she would have someone out to us by 5pm. This is the last contact we have had with the company. They never showed up and never called to alert us of the situation. I'm a small business owner whose business is accredited with the Revdex.com and this is unacceptable. The lack of professionalism coupled with their A+ rating make me question the integrity of Revdex.com.

I called my warranty company and they sent out sensible, they were one of the best experiences I've had from a air conditioning company. The dispatcher was so nice and knowledgable. When glen came to my door he was polite and easy going but most importantly got the job done fast and right. I'd recommend them to anyone in my family or friends.

Review: Sensible Heating and Air Conditioning came out to our house a week ago to quote out a job for an AC repair. We got several bids and decided to go with them. We were told it would be $540 to fix the issue. After a week of no one returning our calls (which should have been a red flag), we finally got a return call from the technician that told us the new bid was $750.Desired Settlement: I would like the business to make good on the original quote.

I had a good experience with this AC company. Larry called before to let me know he would be here in 20 minutes, he was on time and friendly. I took a video with my phone and showed Larry the issue. He was able to diagnose the issue very quickly and replaced the fan motor in 45 minutes. The only hiccup was the time frame, I call my warranty company on Monday and didn't get a call from Sensible until Thursday...however, they were able to come out first thing Friday morning. The AC was still working during this time so it wasn't a big issue. A 10 for Larry but an 8 overall.

Unit was serviced twice by a company....did not fix the problem....Sensible Heating and Air was called and the problem wax fixed in about 45 min.....they looked at the unit and primary drip line, then went in the attic and found problem and fixed. They were fantastic

My AC unit went down on a Thursday Afternoon and I called the Home warranty for a service ticket. They advised that Sensible Air would be sent out for the service. Friday Morning the second HVAC unit stopped work and the house temperature was 85 degrees. I did not receive a call from Sensible and called them on Thursday night and was told they would be there first thing Friday morning first thing. They did not show up Friday morning and when I called to inquire why, I was told that I was on the afternoon schedule. The tech finally showed up and replaced a part on both units and filled the bigger unit with freon also. Fast forward 2 weeks and the larger AC unit stopped working again. I called the home warranty again and they dispatched Sensible Air for the repair. They were not able to get to my house on Friday and advised they would be there Saturday morning. A different tech showed up and found additional problems that required the coil to be replaced. The tech waqs going to send his report to the home warranty to get the authorization and approval started. I called on Monday morning and the report had not been filed and the home warranty had to call Sensible to get the report. Then I received a call back from the home warranty company asking me to authorize extra charges the contract was recommending. I called Sensible direct and spoke with the tech that was out Saturday and he was rude and combative. He did not know the status of which coil parts he was going to be was able to get but he was more than happy to tell me the "modifications" needed to install the new coil. The more questions I asked the fishier it all sounded and the cost kept growing. This is pretty convenient since the tech went on a five minute tirade while standing in my driveway about, how the home warranty company's agreed upon fees were so low that they made no money.
This company's professionism was lacking and the tech was rude.

We had Sensible Heating and Air Conditioning come out to our house to fix an A/C problem. The tech came out and fixed the problem...or so we thought. About a week after the tech came out, the A/C flood pan starting leaking. Because this went unnoticed for about a week, the entire ceiling caved in. This "company" stated that it was not their fault, but it was the techs that came out to fix the heater. We tried to tell the supervisor that we have never had a tech come out to fix our heater and we have never had any problems with the A/C leaking until 1 week after their tech came out to the house. The supervisor was VERY rude when we called to talk to him about our caved in ceiling. I would not recommend anyone using this company.

After multiple companies have come to my home, non of them seem to find the problem. Out of frustration I called my dad to see if he knew someone who could ACTUALLY FIX my AC. He told me to call sensible, an man named dan came to my home and he was very talkative and reassuring. After about 2 hours the problem was fixed and has been working ever since.

[redacted] fixed my furnace after a previous company couldnt. He came on a Saturday during scheduled window. Very satisfied after dealing with no heat for a month and aggravation from cnn refrigeration and home warranty company.

They showed up quickly and found my problem almost immediately. My AC was making a very loud sound and they were able to pinpoint the issue and remove it before it got worse.

I had sensible Ac out per my landlords doing to deal with an ac conditioner. Not only was the guy here for hours to do nothing but look at the wires and climb in my attic when he left he lied to my landlord, claiming that there where no air filters in our vents, (how would he know he never even opened them, if he would have he would have seen that they where white filters) did not tell me what was wrong just that he would talk to the landlord letting him know that there is to much dust on the coils for him to know what's wrong. Ok Makes sense, I live in Maricopa city , its dusty and dirty, but 460 dollars for the air conditioner coils to be cleaned and another 110 for the wires to be repaired? Hmm, lets see , alternative air is certified, is 200 for the coils to be cleaned, 50 dollars to fix my wires. So not only are they liars but they rip people off too!
That little lie that was told by their technician got me and my children a ten day notice, hopefully our landlord has more common sense and brains than the technician they sent us and sees the truth of things. dishonorable, Liars, rip off artists. lazy.

Very good service. [redacted] was pleasant, professional, and knowledgable. He called about 30 minutes before arriving. He found the problem which required a replacement part- which he picked up and had my heating unit up and running the next day.
I had a great experience working with Sensible Heating and Air Conditioning.

After placing a service call in the a.m. A tech arrived mid-day who began diagnosing our failed AC unit....initial diagnosis and replacement of the capacitor lasted one hour. After another call to Sensible, [redacted] (Owner) responded within 15 minutes to our home. Unfortunately the unit had come back online making it difficult to diagnose. [redacted] said to call him should it quite running again. The unit failed within 30 minutes and again [redacted] was back out within 15 minutes at which point the unit tried to come back on giving [redacted] the opportunity to hear the distress of the motor. [redacted] correctly diagnosed the unit requiring a new fan motor. His total time to replace was less than 30 minutes. [redacted] was very professional, and seemed truly grateful for the business. We highly recommend Sensible Heating & AC. Make them your first call.

We lease a home in Gilbert, AZ. The home warranty company had chose them to come out. I was informed at 9:15 AM on Friday that they would contact us. By 2 PM they had not called, so when I contacted them the very obnoxious woman said we have up to 24 hours to contact the customer. She then informed me that they would be out between 10 to 12 on Saturday. I explained my health issues and asked if there was anything available sooner. NO THAT'S IT was her response. On Saturday at 12:05 my wife called only to be told they were not coming out and that they informed the Home Warranty Company. The Home Warranty Co denied this. Here we sit without air and a medical condition and they could care less! Spend your money elsewhere they are not reputable!

I had Dan out to my home twice to service my HVAC, on both occasions, he took care of everything. He is a honest man . He did the job right the first time and resolved our problems to our satisfaction. That is why we called him back . We are moving and needed a tune up. He also provided a resolution for the items found during our house inspection. We would use Sensible again and would highly recommend them.

Dan from Sensible Air did an awesome job for me! I needed two new ac units and I had called three other places and [redacted] came in over $1000 less than these other places. He was honest, kept his appointments, and got my units done on short notice. I haven;t had any issues and would recommend Sensible Air and [redacted] to anyone. Mine wasn;t thru a home warranty company so maybe they have something to do with these other reviews and the headaches. I just know [redacted] got it done for me. Thanks [redacted]
