In August of 2013, our A/C unit broke and we were without A/C for multiple days. This was the middle of August in Florida and we couldn't afford to wait for Sensible Home Warranty to approve payment of the claim before having the unit fixed as we were told this could take over a week. So, SHW assured us that they would re-imburse us the $495 if we came out of pocket to pay for the repair which we did. After multiple phone calls and contact attempts, I finally received an email on October 29th 2013 from the Underwriting department that stated I would receive the $495 within 4 weeks. It is now February 12, 2013, and it has been almost 4 months. I have contacted SHW over 25 times by phone, multiple times by email and left multiple messages with both the billing department and [redacted] (the contact listed on the Revdex.com site) without receiving any response whatsoever. The claims department continues to tell me that my issue has been "forwarded to Headquarters", but they won't give me an email address or contact person at "Headquarters". Also, depending on who I speak to, they tell me they will email the billing department to get more information. They have promised this over 10 times to which there has been no follow up. The Claims department states that they can't transfer me to anyone who can help and they are only able to send emails to billing. On February 4th, 2014, a "Manager" in the claims department promised to contact [redacted], the "Director" of the billing department and told me she would call/email me with a resolution by Friday, February 7th. Again, I received no phone call or email. At this point, it is apparent that nothing is actually being done to reimburse me the promised $495. After reviewing the Revdex.com site, it is also apparent that this is common practice for Sensible Home Warranty.Product_Or_Service: Home WarrantyAccount_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementSensible Home Warranty owes me the amount of $495 which I have in writing in an email from their Underwriting department. I would like to receive the $495 owed amount. In addition, I would like to terminate my policy and receive the prorate amount owed back to me as I paid for 2 years of service effective August 9, 2013. Per the sales rep who initiated our policy, if at any point we terminated our policy, we would receive back the prorated amount that we already paid for the 2 years.Business Response Payment has already been mailed for this matter. Please update once received.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not accept this response because Sensible Home Warranty did not provide a date when the check was mailed. I would like to know when I should expect to receive the check.Also, I would like Sensible Home Warranty to cancel my policay and re-imburse me for the remaining time on my policy which I have already paid for. Please provide the amount owed to me, the date that check is mailed and a written copy of my policy cancellation.

I have turned in 3 claims and have been promised payment since June 2013 and have not yet received payment. I have claims outstanding for policy # [redacted] that I have been promised payment for since June 2013 and have not received payment. I have several email messages from them promising payment but they have yet to send a check. I have called several times leaving messages and no one returns phone calls. Here are a list of the payments due me: 8/23/13 $210 for repair of the upstairs AC Unit. Payment Due $165.008/28/13 $185 for repair of the downstairs AC unit. Payment due $140.006/6/13 $295.00 for replacement of the condenser fan motor on one of the AC units. Payment due $250.00Desired SettlementI would like to receive the payments that they have promised me as fulfillment of their end of the contract.Final Consumer Response I received payment in full from Sensible Home Warranty today. Paid 1439 for 6 year warranty. Business went out of business with no refund or notification.Policy number SHW [redacted] Coverage address [redacted] Total $1439. Start 12/26/2012. End 03/26/2018. Poor customer service from start. Not willing to fix problems from start then went out of business with no refund.Desired SettlementRefund of money $1439

I purchased a home warranty from Sensible Home Warranty and I never had a problem with them until I had to file a claim. I called to file a claim on my washing machine and I have waited for over a week and no one has called to schedule a date for repair. No one has called me to give me the status of my claim. I have had one manager call me and tell me the same thing all of the other reps have told me. It doesn't take this long to have someone call you and schedule a repair. And the reps have the nerve to get smart or an attitude with you because you are frustrated!!!!! Purchases warranty in 2014 (expiration 5/27/16) I believe company is fraudulent because I'm unable to contact them. Purchased warranty coverage Policy #[redacted] on 4/27/14 for $690. The coverage was supposed to be good through 5/27/16.Desired SettlementRefund or contact from the company.
