Sep's Pro Fishing

On one February 2020 I ordered four fishing items (sidekick dodgers) from Seps. The items totaled $31.96 + $6.00 shipping. On 6 Feb 2020 my first class, uninsured envelope with tracking arrived. The 8.5" x 11" paper envelope arrived with the flap open. The only thing inside the envelope was the half sheet invoice. It was very apparent the flap on the envelope was poorly sealed, as the adhesive area on the envelope flap range from 1/8 of an inch to 3/16 of an inch wide. I immediately contacted Seps via email and was in contact with Dana. Dana stated she was the business owner. and Dana's response email to me about my envelope showing up with no product in it, her very first line in the email stated as follows,

Dan,
You need to take this up with your post office. File a claim with the receipt we sent you.

Dana immediately passed the buck and did not accept responsibility for their poorly sealed envelope showing up. I went back and forth with Dana through email a total of 10 times and the only thing steps offered me to remedy this situation was to send me two of the four dodgers for free and I would still have to pay shipping. I was not willing to accept that. Dana also went on to tell me that they now ship all packages to Alaska in a USPS flat rate small box and they tape it shut with shipping tape. It sounds to me like they realized their error and took action to correct it for future customers but did not solve my situation. I don't feel that seps did a fair job in taking care of me their customer. in my communications with Dana I took several pictures to show the poorly sealed envelope flap along with photo evidence using a tape measure to show how it was poorly sealed. Dana stands by her unfounded determination that somebody within the post office opened my package stole my fishing lures and put the envelope back in rotation. I have all of this documented in my email traffic between me and Seps.
