Be Skeptical
First, I contacted Septic Blue to have my septic tank pumped for their reported price of $149 plus their required $49.95 dispatch fee. This was agreed to by Septic Blue and an appointment was made for the next day’s 11 am to 2 pm service window. I was told and received an email saying I would receive a call approximately an hour prior to dispatch to confirm service. As of 1:30pm on the day of service, I had heard nothing from Septic Blue so I sent an email reply to their initial email reminding them of the scheduled service and asking to be updated regarding my appointment. I almost immediately received a reply saying the truck was dispatched and who the serviceman was (Joseph Powe). That was followed shortly by their phone call to confirm I was at home for service. The Joseph arrived at 2:50pm, 50 minutes after the end of the agreed upon service window. That was very inconvenient because we had other plans that evening and we were now going to be delayed from getting to those plans. However, that was not the worst of it!
Once the tank was opened, the Joseph refused to perform the services as previously agreed to and immediately began to “up-sale” the work to be performed. His “sales act” started with scraping his shovel around the top edge of the tank opening, identifying 1 to 2 millimeters of dirt build up and saying this “proves there is a problem.” Imagine that, a tank that collects waste water and human excrement on a consistent basis has a couple of millimeters of dirt build around its edge – what a joke! From there, according to Joseph, the 8 or 9 inches of soft sludge buildup at the top of the tank was just too much for him to pump the tank as was previously agreed to at the time of making the service appointment and he would have to work “very hard” to break it up before he could pump the tank. This change resulted in a job that was to cost a total of approximately $200 to an amount well over $500! Being disillusioned with this more than doubling of the cost, I immediately called Septic Blue’s customer service to inquire as to why the service was now not going to be performed as originally agreed to and seek some resolution. However, the customer service rep was very uncooperative taking the side of his serviceman turned salesman saying “he knows what he’s doing” which seemed to indicate that this is customary for Septic Blue to quote one price at scheduling and then “up-sale” the job upon arrival. At that point, I declined service because I was not going to be “ripped-off” and requested my tank be covered and my yard restored to its original condition. However, returning my yard to its original condition was not satisfactory, but I let it go because I was ready for Septic Blue to leave my property! I am totally disappointed in the lack of professionalism displayed by the serviceman and other employees of Septic Blue that I spoke with. A “one star” rating for Septic Blue too high...they deserve a “no stars” rating! I caution anyone to re-think their decision if they are even slightly considering using Septic Blue for any services!

Rep slung foul septic waste on wood fence and trenched yard with bobcat when he could have used sidewalk
Rep came out on 1/15/after a no-show 2-appointment on 1/14/He parked on a neighboring street and drove digging equipment up the side of yard instead of using an available sidewalkHe also trenched grass near septic tank and did not attempt to repairThis rep has a very strong accent and understanding him was difficultHe kept asking for my signature on his iphone and when I asked him "what for" he said, "so he could proceed with work; that I was signing a waiver." I asked to see the iphone to read what I was signing and kept asking for the total amount I was assuming with signatureHe could not show me the total amount on the iphoneHe then went and got an ipad in order to show the amount, which had gone from $to $456.25, and told me he did not know why it did not show on the iphoneI started to get wary of his upselling at that pointHe had come out years

I called this company on 8/28/ due to having some septic tank drainage issueThey advertise on their website to drain the septic tank for $including free enzyme solutionThe technician Martin made me to sign contract agreement on his phoneWhen asked for the paper work, he said that it will be emailed to me shortlyAfter he drained the septic, he told me that my pump was broken and needed to be changedHe took the pump out then he told me that he did not do the electrical work and that I need to call an electricianHe keep adding to the original price of $and ended up with the cost of $At this time I realized that there was something wrong with this picture and called the company and stopped the workHe already had taken the information about my credit cardI called a different company that came the next day and told me that all needed to be done was to change the pump and they fixed the problemHowever, Septic Blue has charged my credit card for over $
