Serendipity 3

Review: I paid with [redacted] and was overbilled three dollars. We split the check with our friends who paid cash, our bill came to $19.00, my wife is not from the United States and unfamiliar with how the tip system works in the United States and added the tip at that time and asked that the card be swiped for $22.00.When the bill came I noticed my wife had already tipped but because of the confusion I added $1.00 beneath that so the total should be $23.00.Today I looked at my bank account and saw the following.09/16/2013POS Transaction / SERENDIPITY 3 - DC WASHINGTON DCUS $26.00Why was an extra three dollars added to my transaction when we and our colleagues at the table had already given more than a 15% tip?I wrote an email and sent a letter but never received a response. I called and they told me to come in in person which was not convenient for me as I live far from [redacted]. Why can't they respond to my correspondence? It isn't the 3 dollars that upset me, it is the fact that a restaurant thinks it is okay to overbill a customer.Desired Settlement: For them to send me a check for $3.00 and to apologize for the overbilling.
