Serene Scapes was first contacted by Mrs [redacted] on April 14th, for a landscaping estimate To clarify the work she wanted done, I requested an on-site meeting, which was held at their earliest convenience on April 17th, at 6:30pmUpon getting her requirements, it was necessary to source and price the specific plantings she required Once sourced, the estimate was written up and sent on the April 23, The delivery of the estimate was delayed one extra day (making it a total of six days) due to the customer being away for family reasons Typically providing an estimate does not take this long, however with the very specific type and colors of plants they requested additional sourcing was required We prefer to provide the estimate in person, so that any questions may be asked and address, however due to the family situation we were not able to do so Weed Control is not included in pulling weeds, but is offered at an additional price Had we been able to deliver the estimate in person and discuss it, we believe this assumption about our services would have been addressed at that time I have attached the estimate for Mrs [redacted] 's yard for reference Once the estimate was approved by Mrs [redacted] we began by weeding her flower bedsThe following day we edged the flower beds (as requested) to better define the flower beds and grass The third day we finished the project up by planting, mulching and helping assemble pathway lights (not in original plan), and a one-time mowing of the lawn After work was completed on the third day her husband, ***, asked about weed control for the lawn and beds I recommended a brand available to them at the local hardware store and offered weed control for them He declined this offer and said he would do it himself to save money This occurred on the day of work completion and not weeks later as stated by Mrs [redacted] in her complaintWe were then contacted by [redacted] on the 16th of May, not the 14th as stated by Mrs [redacted] In the emails [redacted] asked about the bed weed control because grass started to grow but he mentioned nothing about weedsAgain, we recommended the brand to him and said he would look into it He did mention he was worried about putting the flower bed weed and feed around the plantsThis is the same product we would have used and is meant for the flower beds Mrs [redacted] first contacted us about the weed problem on the 22nd of June, and exchanged emails through the 23rd of JuneAfter I returned I had other customers who had contacted me before the [redacted] 's did, and therefore they were addressed firstCustomers are addressed in the order we are contacted; the size or type of job (and income) have no effect on order of response If a customer declines a service at any time while we are doing a job, we are not and cannot be held responsible for a service we did not perform [redacted] most likely did not apply the weed control either time we recommended it to him, and is now blaming our company for the weeds in their flower beds as a result We have been emailed Mrs [redacted] trying to correct the issue with an offer as follows: removing the weeds that have now grown in, applying a weed control at a discounted price, removing future weeds (if any) that appear after the weed control has been applied free of charge for the remainder of the calendar yearThey have since declined for us to help and are demanding a full refundThe final price for plants, labor, mowing and machinery was $(including tax) If they would like, we can refund the $plus tax for the weeding, however we will not refund the cost of plants, machinery or labor for the flowers

labor, mowing and machinery was $615.15 (including tax).  If they would
like, we can refund the $50 plus tax for the weeding, however we will not
refund the cost of plants, machinery or labor for the flowers.
