What is the matter with this company? Have they lost all moral responsibility to the customers? We bought a Scenic tour to Russia from Skyscraper toursThere was no follow up with us or contact with us for months until we received a forwarded email from Scenic to apply for our visasEvery time we asked Skyscraper for guidance all we received was another copy of the Scenic emailToday we are frantic, trapped between Scenic who is demanding that we get the visa ASAP or they will be unable to supply us with our travel documents and the Russian Visa company who seem unable to process our application' despite our meeting every demand (we suspect a monitory shakedown)Every plea for guidance and help from Skycraper has been met with silenceNothingWe are baffledWho does business like this? How can a company operate with a philosophy that this is how business should be conducted--get the money and abandon the customer? We cannot think what we have done to deserve such treatment so we are assuming this is usual company behaviorHow crass
Today I had a productive email exchange with Lori @ Skyscraper Tours. We thought communication by email was productive but it turns our we should have called them with our challenges in getting a Russian visa. Lori also informed us Scenic was only alerting us to needing to have a visa number to get our documents, not threatening to cancel our trip. I have explained our perceptions and Lori has explained her company's operations so I believe the company was expecting us to ask for help. We assumed if we wrote with questions they would offer help. She is meeting with Scenic Tours executives soon on a trip and will pass on our criticisms and suggestion for making the process less stressful. We still don't have a visa but we have hope.
